Beautiful garden, worth to visit and spend time with nature. I had many questions before going there and I couldn't find much details so I am writing this review with my experience and giving details about answers I found by exploring myself, it may be useful for others:
Is there parking? Yes, free of cost parking but not huge parking. I went on today (Saturday) around 4pm and didn't find difficult to find parking space.
Ticket booking? I did one day before on Groupon and it was easy to book and staff at entrance very friendly.
Food? There is no food available inside, I haven't seen even a garbage box. You can bring your food, make sure do not leave any trash behind. Enjoy your food, there are plenty tables at very beautiful spots and pack all your leftover and don't leave anything behind.
Restroom? Yes, well maintained 5-6 Restroom I have seen.
How much time will take to explore? You can easily walk while garden and visit most of it within 3 hours. If you are more interested in details, even a week is less. Lots of details for so many varieties of plants. Beautiful trails, creeks and you must explore those.
Is it toddlers friendly? Yes, I went with my kid and he is 3 years old. Garden is stroller friendly. It is wheelchair friendly as well but you should have some assistance as it is sloppy, can be easily managed with assistance.
How much for ticket? For me and my wife 14$ each and for kid 3 years old 7$.
What else we can visit on same day? We visited garden and we were so tired after covering all within 3 hrs we went to City Creek mall, it is just 3 to 4 miles away. We enjoyed food at food court that was having many options and did some shopping. So a day well utilized.
Any advice? Do not carry so much food and bulky things, In that way walking and tracking will be fun. There are many trails where you will do off road walk and if you have no luggage it will be best.
Cheers! Beautiful place, if you love nature, it is must visit place. You can visit and find garden many place but this one is unique because of its location. It is on lap of mountain and you will have beautiful view of saltlake...
Read moreI like to visit gardens and nature centers while traveling. I was able to fit in Red Butte Garden on a Sunday afternoon before dinner while visiting Salt Lake City. The entrance is very inviting , you can almost sense the beauty that you are about to experience before you even open the doors. The staff was extremely cheerful and friendly. They took care of our ticketing, one girl complimented my necklace, the other made sure to tell us where to start and guided us towards the map (which was very helpful). There are some many different garden areas … every twist and turns leads to more breathing beauty and an overload of pleasure to your senses as you smell the heavenly scents, see and touch all the different plants and flowers and hear the birds. Everything is so peaceful! There are so many little spots kind of hidden from the main path you could spend all day nestled in nature. There were also lots of hiking trails we did not get to experience. We hiked morning and night our entire Utah trip , including all morning this day, so at this point (our very last day in Utah) we were just looking to experience calm and relaxation and that’s exactly what we got! The gift shop is wonderful and even the vistors center has lots to see if you want to explore more. There was a photography exhibit going on … but also other beautiful plant rooms and even the stair cases going up are adorned with nature! I really loved it here and if we ever go back to Utah again, I will put this on my list of to-dos… and stay there...
Read moreI am very excited to review Red Butte Gardens after having my wedding there at the beginning of August! I would absolutely recommend it for any event. The venue speaks for itself- the beautiful Utah plants and flowers and the lovely, peaceful surroundings are absolutely ideal for celebration. I had my ceremony at the Fragrance Garden and the luncheon that followed in the Orangerie. From the very beginning (over a year before my wedding), the staff was absolutely amazing to work with. I got to know many of the event people while we planned everything and I enjoyed working with all of the team very much. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and creative. They helped me figure out the best flow for my event and how to create an ideal experience for all 150 guests. They arranged everything for my bridal photos perfectly and even had a golf cart ready to transport us around the gardens to all of the ideal locations. The list of venue-approved caterers is fantastic, and they helped manage the seating very well too. Everything went perfectly and I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing. Go check it out and meet the events team- you won’t regret it! Thank you, Red Butte, for making my wedding ceremony and lunch...
