Price 8/10 Food 2/10 - breakfast is not included. I think it was about $15 a person. I should have just gone to McDonald for breakfast. Honestly, they should not have a breakfast place on site. We tried the room service for dinner. It was our fault for trying. It was not fresh. I didn’t even touch the chicken burger as it felt like a rubber tire. Their fries were the only decent/edible ones. Take my word. Skip breakfast/dinner all together in this place. Cleanliness- 9/10 it was pretty close to 10/10 sheets, room floor, bathroom smelt fine. Everything was pretty decent for the price. Met the expectation. The cleaning person gave us some extra towels when we asked them. The receptionist- 10/10 The guy with the glasses was all about service and customer relationship. I think he was the one who gave us the perfect room with the dream-like view. Felt like we were in Ritz Carlton or something. The other reception people were pretty professional and fair as well. The View in my room- this was probably the best view I’ve ever had in a hotel room. We had a crazy sunset in the far. And, a great view of the mountain that was the opposite from the sunset. Basically, two great views In one window. The view alone can make this room worth above around $300. Give or take. And, this is their strongest selling point of this hotel. Our room was 604. The thickness of the Wall: 9/10 or 10/10 It was probably the quietest room I’ve stayed during my trip. Also, the people who stay here seemed quite. Was able to sleep really well here. A few complains here: 1. The window in the room couldn’t be opened. (But it was understandable because some people might try to go outside thru the window if it wasn’t closed at all times. It Should be closed for the security purpose). So no fresh air. 2. Terrible food (breakfast/room-service diner) will ruin your otherwise perfect stay here. I felt like I got scammed. I should have gone to McDonald/Pizza Hut/Subway. Or eat some protein bars and nuts they sell and just go to sleep right after. Would we return for future stay? - yes, if we get the same room. Easily. The view in that room alone makes me forget about other downsides.

I recently stayed at the Marriott University Park and was blown away by the exceptional morning breakfast experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by Elias Diaz. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful, offering a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes and dietary preferences. However, what truly elevated the experience was Elias's warm and attentive service. Elias went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. He greeted us with a genuine smile each morning and took the time to make personal recommendations based on our preferences. His friendly demeanor and impeccable attention to detail truly made our mornings special. I cannot praise Elias enough for his dedication and exceptional service. His hospitality and professionalism added a special touch to our stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful breakfast experience complemented by excellent service. Thank you, Elias, for making our mornings memorable! PS- the property is in excellent condition and the front desk staff especially Huckleberry and Danny rock.

Thank you for taking the time to request that your guests fill out a satisfaction survey. In the past we have always had EXCELLENT service at the Salt Lake Marriott University Park. However, during this trip the house cleaning services were below average. For example, the first night we stayed at your hotel it was obvious that the floors had not been vacuumed in our two rooms. There were small rocks on the floor and a child's rainbow bracelet on the floor. We called down to the front desk and this problem was correct the next day. Here is a list of other problems we encountered with your room service: After a couple of days we needed to request clean glasses. We were tired of trying to reuse the dirty glasses by using hand soap to clean them. We had to request kleenex and toilet paper because we ran out. We needed to ask for clean towels because the house cleaning service forgot to pick up our dirty towels off the floor and replace them with clean towels and wash cloths. I was unaware of the fact that in the room that I was not staying in, that the towels that were left on the bathroom floor were NOT being replaced with clean towels. Instead the dirty towels that were left on the dirty bathroom floor were simply hung up on the shower curtain bar. If I would have know this was happening I would have requested clean towels for this room also.

We were also disappointed that the pool was closed down while we were staying at the hotel. One of the hockey team's member or members broke a glass light in the pool. Therefore, the pool was drained, the light was replaced, and efforts were made to refill the pool ASAP. However, we have stayed at your hotel during other hockey tournaments and disorderly behavior seems to be the norm instead of the exception. Perhaps reviewing the rules and expectations of the hotel would be a good policy to adapt with repeated inappropriate offenders. We specifically booked two rooms for an entire week based on the fact that you had a swimming pool.

The food was good, but room service was ridiculously slow. When we ate at the hotel's dinning room the staff was polite. However, service seemed to be very slow in the dinning room also. In addition, one evening while we were eating at the hotel dinning room we needed to ask for our dinner rolls. We like to stay at Marriotts because in the past, we have encountered top notch service. This was not the case during...

My stay at the Marriott was overall very nice. If you're planning on staying close to the university during move-in, move-out, or other big events, book early for best prices. I can't complain at all for the price I paid, but I still was impressed by the property and look forward to staying again if I can catch a decent rate on my next trip to SLC. The part I didn't care for is two things - no more pool and the marble/granite coffee table (although beautiful) weighed a ton. We were upgraded from a two queen, into a king jr suite with sofabed, and the sofabed was unmade, so when we got in later at night, we had to move the table, then MAKE the sofa bed up, since most times, the hotels don't keep it made up. I have stayed places where its put together, but we had to do it ourselves. That's the worst thing I can say about the place though.

It's conveniently located, has a Corner Bakery just down the block for early morning munchies, and breakfast if you don't want to eat at the restaurant or use room service. Because we were trying to watch our expenses, it was convenient to just run down the street and get 3 breakfasts for about $20. I've stayed there before too on an overnight, and we were in a hurry, so we just stopped at the Starbucks in the front lobby and grabbed drinks and pastries.

This hotel is clean, and open and well lit. This is definitely not a dark, old hotel. It's got a modern design and our room had some really nice furniture. They may want to go through and check the small things, like in the bathroom, where you might find a small crack between the wall and the bottom moulding.. But its nothing to worry about. I wouldn't have noticed it, but I was LOOKING to see if I could find anything wrong, so I could write a review.

The people are helpful and friendly, and courteously explained where my room or handicapped parking was. Note: We loved the amenities in the room. The shower gel and shampoo smells great, and I'm not a perfumy...
