The people were so very welcoming and you could feel the loveof the congregation... but unfortunately that was where the positiveness of this review will end inappropriate cringe worthy banter between the teaching pastor and the youth pastor well the poor youth pastor was more subjected to the inappropriate bamter of the teaching pastor then the head pastor literally repeated and repeated himself about tithing and this worst part was apparently a part 2 part of the sermon. To preach about tithing in the manner he did was just un called for saying like you need to budget and how 500$ may still jot be enough if you didn't budget right and how u can't be blessed by God or the church if you don't do that... he just kept repeating maybe do a class over it at a Wednesday service but to have it as a 2 part sermon was awful... i honestly hope a new believer or a first timer didn't show up these last two Sundays cause this church makes all those negative remarks about churches only seeking money true like maybe if he would of said if ur new here this isnt like directed to you but goodness sitting an hour and a half being berated about 10% of your budget for tithing was ROUGH! KEEP IN MIND I AM A CHRISTIAN raised Christian and do believe and am knowledgeable on what tithing is and how it's suppose to be done nothing he said was inaccurate but to make the whole sermon about and apparently for the second Sunday in a row just seemed like they were literally trying to guilt trip people which did not make me feel comfortable at all. We will not be returning unfortunately... also if you want your older kids engaged with that doesn't happen my 7 and 5 year old her are used to being taught told me all they did was watch veggie tales and they didn't even do any paperwork or anything... maybe it was just an off Sunday but between the cringe banter between the under pastors and the head pastor sermon just not worth us coming back to give it a go... not trying to be mean but I would hate for this church to turn people away from coming to church... i have never in my life felt so uncomfortable in church that I wanted to walk out of a service but i felt that way here we did not we stayed the entire time as I didn't want to cause a scene nor try and pull my kids out early but wow...
Read moreAn excellent church that practices what they preach and carries out the commands of Jesus to serve others and to be the hands and the feet of God. David Walker is an amazing pastor. He was my pastor years and years ago in Amarillo TX and what made him special then continues to make him special today - he has a heart for souls and he labors and prays over how to best present God's plan of salvation to all men. My wife and I visited the church a few months ago when we went to Austin TX for a conference - we drove over one Sunday morning and did not regret it. Pastor Walker made time for us after the service and kindly spoke with us and asked about our lives and children then asked to pray over us and our children who he's not ever met. It was a special time and a time that meant something to us both and a time that I still recall hearing the genuineness and closeness of God through his words and actions. This church reflects and magnifies the light and way of Christ. I look forward to the next time I am able to visit - until then, keep preaching Christ and his love. Keep serving - you make a positive difference - good and faithful servants!

Read moreI asked for a Bible my first visit there and was told by the older male door greeter to wait till after service. I enjoyed the service( gods word) and then me and my friend waited patiently until the door greeter had finished praying over someone at the end of service. He had forgotten why we were waiting as I reminded him and also told him I only had one pair of clothes and his remark was that he only had little time then I kid you not he grabs my elbow and knudged me so hard more than a knudge towards the back door as he was in a big hurry...I refused anything from that man and scurried out willingly. The pastor rolled up and I explained very nicely how I was treated by that man and THE PASTOR SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND DRIVE OFF ON ME!! Everybody's in such a hurry these days they are denying the ones coming for help love and support...even a Bible to get right with Jesus in their church. I think some of the leaders need to check their status with Jesus and...
