GameStop — Attraction in San Antonio

This Gamestop was okay. Had alot of unique items, but I had a bad experience with the associate. I went in there during the evening looking to potentially buy a Nintendo Switch, I waited in line for about 20 mins until I was able to speak with associate. When I spoke with associate they explained to me they really didn't know the sales/ deals or too much about the games. Either the associate did not know, or if the associate was just being complacent and was pushing me out of the store.

Either way, it steered me away from buying one. I ended leaving the store after asking more questions and the associate said I apologize I really can't help you much I really dont know alot about the games. I ended up leaving and going to Wal-Mart and purchasing a Special Edition Splatoon Nintendo Switch and had a better experience there.

Recommendation to GameStop. If you're going to be in the business selling games, your associates should be trained to know about the sales and deals. Especially since the industry is turning more into a digital platform. Every sale should matter and it starts at the store.

Due to that experience, GameStop lost $400 sale that night.

So everyone should already know that when it comes to selling your stuff to GameStop it’s a complete joke and they will rob you. I knew that going in, but I didn’t know to what extent. I asked the guy working how much I could get for my 320 GB PS3 slim and 4 wireless controllers. The controllers are 1 DualShock 3 and the other 3 controllers are SIXAXIS. He really had the nerve to look at me and say they’ll offer $38 IN STORE CREDIT for my PS3 and one controller added. Mind you they are currently selling that same pre-owned PS3 for $119.99. ROBBERY. Then when I asked about the other 3 remotes he said they’d give me $2 for each one. TWO DOLLARS!! Idk how he was able to keep a straight face seeing as how they are currently selling a pre-owned SIXAXIS controller for $29.99 and a DualShock 3 for $34.99. I get needing to turn a profit, but that’s ridiculous. It’s like they were asking me to give them my stuff for free. Needless to say, I walked out. Never go into GameStop trying to sell anything, I’ll let you know right now they are robbing you. You’ll have better luck w OfferUp, Letgo, EBay, even Craigslist probably. I honestly wish I could give them a zero. I sent my cards to get PSA with them and they are absolutely unprofessional and organized do not send your cards here mine are worth 700$ RAW and they refused to give them back. I showed up Friday trying to get them back because for Two weeks they held on to them and they never got shipped so I went back Friday trying to get them back the women running the counter had no idea how to help me so when they told me they’re manager would be there Sunday. So i show up today trying to speak to manger and surprise still no manager. She calls her manager and proceeds to tell me they have shipped. Mind you I have the app and it still says order created so I demanded proof that they were shipped and absolutely refused and said they couldn’t do anything about it.
