I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at this Cold Stone location was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to speak up — especially because it wasn’t just bad service, it was downright disrespectful.
The worker behind the counter — a young, blonde-haired white guy — was shockingly rude from the moment I walked in. No greeting, no acknowledgment, just a blank, irritated stare like I had already ruined his day by daring to enter the store. When I asked a simple question about one of the flavors, he responded with a tone that was both condescending and dismissive, as if I were bothering him with basic human interaction.
Throughout the entire order process, he barely said a word. No communication, no eye contact, no effort. He lazily tossed the toppings on, didn't bother mixing them properly, then shoved the cup across the counter like I was trash he couldn't wait to get rid of. No "thank you," no “have a nice day” — just silent hostility and pure attitude.
I genuinely felt like I was inconveniencing him by being there, even though I was the paying customer. This wasn’t a case of someone having a rough day — it was a clear display of someone who doesn’t care about their job, has no grasp of basic decency, and absolutely shouldn’t be in a customer-facing role.
Cold Stone management needs to take a serious look at who they’re putting out front to represent their brand. If this guy is any indication, the bar is on the floor. Retraining wouldn't be enough — replacing staff like this should be a top priority if the company cares at all about customer retention.
The ice cream might be decent, but absolutely nothing on the menu is worth being treated like garbage. I won't be coming back, and I’ll be warning others to steer clear of...
Read moreIf we're strictly talking about the ice cream, I absolutely love this place! I've been going to this Cold Stone for a very long time. It is a little pricey for ice cream, but I do believe it's worth it.
Service is average. Staff are helpful, but most will not go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Again, my ice cream is always great so this isn't too big of an issue for me and probably the same goes for most other people.
However, the atmosphere has really declined recently. I'll still eat there, but I think there's a lot that could be done to enhance the customer experience. For example, the glass doesn't seem to be wiped down frequently. There's stanchions set up infront of the glass, which I am assuming is to keep people from wiping their hands all over it. Understandable, but when I last visited, there was a lot of staffing standing around and I am sure one of them could've wiped down really quickly. Very basic print paper B&W signs posted every, which in my opinion shows a lack of effort. Leaving cleaning supplies on a table seems hazardous and again, lazy, especially if you leave it unlabeled and they're within reach of children. Cleanliness was average. It wasn't gross but it wasn't inviting either.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend Cold Stone to others and I for sure will continue to return. I just feel that if management paid attention to the little details, the atmosphere and the service will...
Read moreVery disappointed and expected better. I stopped by the Cold Stone because they are partnered with The Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. I was initially bothered upon arriving because there was only one customer being waiting on whose order was dropped by the employee and was being remade.. the other 4/5 other employees behind the counter did not make any attempt or acknowledgement to provide me any assistance...(it was just me and one other customer.. and 5 employees). The true disappointment followed when I watched who appeared to be the manager restock the chocolate pieces...he literally took his both bare hands dug into the box and proceeded to grabb add more Chocolate pieces to the tray. I was so bothered by this that immediately walked out of the store. During these times sanitation is critical, I honestly can not say that I did or did not witnessed the employee wash his hands, however I would hope that wearing gloves or using tongs would be the standard for pieces of food that go directly into...
