I wanted to take a moment to share my delightful experience at Bakery Lorrain that left me with a smile on my face and a satisfied tummy. I recently visited Bakery Lorrain and let me tell you, the coffee and baked goods they offer are nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped foot into the cozy ambiance filled with the delightful aroma of freshly baked treats, I knew I was in for a memorable experience. As a lover of all things sugary and delicious, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the wide array of pastries on display. The selection at Bakery Lorrain is truly impressive, catering to every palate and preference imaginable. From flaky croissants to decadent cakes, there is something for everyone. The moment I took my first sip of their perfectly brewed coffee, I was transported to a state of pure bliss. The rich and aromatic blend tantalized my taste buds and complemented the scrumptious pastries flawlessly. Each bite was a symphony of texture and flavor, leaving me craving for more. But it wasn't just the exceptional food and beverages that made my visit memorable. The staff at Bakery Lorrain were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcome and ensured that my visit was nothing short of exceptional. Their passion for their craft shines through in every aspect of the bakery. I cannot recommend Bakery Lorrain enough. Whether you're a local looking for your daily caffeine fix or a visitor wanting to indulge in exquisite pastries, this charming bakery is the place to go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. In conclusion, my experience at Bakery Lorrain was nothing short of exceptional. The coffee was robust, the baked goods were delectable, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The impressive selection of pastries left me spoilt for choice, and I cannot wait to return for yet another delightful experience. Thank you for taking the time to read my joy-filled review. I hope it has piqued your interest and inspires you to pay a visit to Bakery Lorrain. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

What a treat! Bakery Lorraine at the Rim... I'm familiar with their Pearl location but mostly as a coffee and pastry shop. My wife and I decided to grab a quick lunch after working-out and she said a few of her Pilate's clients had told her she needed to try Bakery Lorraine's new place. If you know where Cosi's was, it's in the same location. When you walk in, you are met with a very current aesthetic... I was asking my wife if they had a food-menu when the attentive server at the counter held up a menu for me to see... The menu was simple and very clear... You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Cool interior finishes, great setting! There are a few tables outside as well. We ordered their Chicken-Salad Sandwich, a bowl of Roasted Tomato Soup and a piece of Veggie Quiche. We selected an Iced Tea and Iced Coffee to sip while we waited for our food... This was easily the best iced coffee I've ever had. (Really). The food came out in just a few minutes and from the first bite of the quiche to the last drop of soup, it was spectacular. The flavors were sophisticated and well thought out. The whole lunch was a bit over $30 but it turned out to be a bargain. This will be our go-to spot at the Rim from here on. Whether it's a morning business meeting, a lunch or a bite to eat with your best friend... Bakery Lorraine is a place you need to try! Really Excellent

It's always wonderful when I can get back to San Antonio because I get to come to Bakery Lorraine. Everything here is fantastic including the employees. All the menu offerings are delicious and the bakery cafe is a real treat. Their coffee is the second best I've ever had (first best is a little place I grew up near c;) and I have traveled all over the US and parts of Europe. The atmosphere is upbeat and relaxing just like the music that's playing. Doing homework or office work here is not a problem, the music is kept low enough that I don't find it distracting. Though this is a very popular cafe the mellows towards the end of the day so there's ample seating. Weekends are livelier and you may have trouble getting a seat for brunch. Even if you aren't going to adopt Bakery Lorraine as your home-cafe-away-from-home and even if you're a die hard Starbucks loyalist I do encourage you to come by and give it a try, you definitely will not regret it. This bakery cafe is the reason why I stay at hotels at The Rim.

I visited Bakery Lorraine (BL), Saturday June 12th, at about 9:15am, at their location in the Rim. Normally my experiences at BL are wonderful but this time I had the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Aaron, the man working the barista position at this location on the day I visited was the sole reason for the bad experience. I work in the food service industry and I have to say his behavior was absolutely disrespectful and unacceptable. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and the cashier repeated back my order and confirmed the latte was hot. Aaron brought me an iced latte and I mentioned that I ordered a hot vanilla latte, he responded by saying “Well, the ticket said iced.” First, you should never explain to a customer who spent $50 on breakfast that they’re wrong in the tone he used. The cashier repeated back to me my order, I knew the latte should have been hot. After sitting in silence for 30 seconds he says, “I guess I can remake it.” Before I had the chance to say thank you, he whipped around and slammed the ice coffee in the trash can right next to our table. This was the most disrespectful thing I had seen in a long time, there was no need to disrupt the entire cafe area by slamming the cup into the trash can. Aaron made me hot latte, and brought it to the table in silence and as he put it on the table he made sure to slam it down and whip around the other way before I could offer my thanks again. Unfortunately, the latte was made without vanilla flavoring. I am unsure if this was out of spite or while he was nearly combusting with attitude at the coffee station, it might have slipped his memory. I was tired of dealing with his disrespectful attitude at that point so I just drank the plain latte in silence. All in all, this experience made a very bad impression on BL and it will be hard to return. I especially will never return to...

I was excited to visit Bakery Lorraine at The Rim with my friend and our kids, but our experience was far from pleasant. Upon arrival, my friend politely asked a staff member to clean a table for us. The staff member curtly responded that it had already been cleaned and only proceeded to clean one of the two tables we requested. When we sat down, we noticed crumbs and debris still on the table. My friend got up to grab a napkin to clean it herself, but I offered to ask the staff member to re-clean it.

I approached a young woman named Natalie and mentioned that the table still had crumbs. She abruptly stated, "I already cleaned that table." I pointed out the missed areas, and when I tried to engage her by asking how her morning was, she responded with a dismissive "good." I then asked if she was feeling flustered, to which she became defensive and upset. Her tone and demeanor were unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome.

As I looked over the menu, I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling. Natalie then approached our table and accused me of staring at her three times. I clarified that I hadn't been staring until she confronted me. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to speak with the manager, Jen. While we were explaining the situation, Natalie interrupted and continued to be rude. I asked Jen if she was observing the behavior and what could be done. She mentioned she would have a conversation with Natalie, but no immediate action was taken.

Ultimately, we chose to leave without ordering. It's disheartening to experience such poor customer service, especially in a place that prides itself on hospitality. Bakery Lorraine at The Rim needs to invest in better training for both staff and management to ensure a welcoming environment for...
