REFUGE CHURCH — Attraction in San Antonio

I have been attending The Refuge since August 2024. I met Pastor David years ago when he served a large northside church as youth pastor. He shared with our Christian high school students in such a real and transparent way, that I never forgot him or his ministry. After losing touch for a number of years, I found him running 7 marathons in 7 days to start a church on the southside. Pastor David & his wife Jacqui are committed to serving people all over San Antonio. I felt like part of the Refuge family from day one and I am honored to be able to serve this church and our City alongside of them. This church welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds and loves unconditionally without watering down the gospel. People are known by name and truly cared for. I can be a picky church-attender. I want to be somewhere I can get involved, somewhere that teaches from the word of God with accuracy from well-studied pastors, and a place that has a large range of ages. This place checks all those boxes. They are still a growing. I have gone a handful of times and have yet to hear of consistent groups/bible studies to be apart of, but if they don't have them yet , I am sure that is in the making.
