This is a fantastic roller coaster! Undoubtably the best roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio. This is one of the best paced wooden roller coasters out there. The first half is great with all it's larger swooping drops. The first drop gives you some nice airtime all the way down. The twisted hills give you great airtime too. But it is just getting started! The second half of the ride goes so fast, and you have so many airtime hills and it is nuts! Almost every hill gives you crazy airtime and the pace is so strong too. Make sure to do this ride on both the front and back rows, those were the best seats. I personally prefer the back row for the larger drops but some elements hit better in the front as you get pushed into some of those hills. It is 5 years old, but it still runs very smoothly and is very re-rideable. This is the best coaster in the park, and in the top 5 coasters in all of Texas. Must ride!

By far, the best roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio! The staff was extremely friendly, and let us ride multiple times in a row when there was space available once those in line were boarded! Since it is a wooden roller coaster, it is a very loud and quite bumpy ride. Even so, it is extremely fun to ride. The ride lasts about 1 minute once you have exited the loading Bay. A definite ride not to miss on your next trip.

An awesome wooden coaster experience. Truly fast and extremely fun ride at Sea World. We came on a weekday so the crowds were light and there was no wait to ride- which we did twice. Friendly staff. Nostalgia galore from the old school coasters. Definitely try the from seat for the view and thrill and the back for the pure enjoyment of the G-forces. Definitely a ride to try.

Dare I call it underrated? Although there are not many wooden rollercoasters in Texas, besides the RMCs, this is the best of them, BY FAR! Switchback is unique but is a bit too rough The Boardwalk bullet has good days and bad days—on bad days it can be genuinely painful, and on good days it’s just a slower version of Texas Stingray Judge Roy Scream is mediocre Texas Cyclone, The Rattler, and Texas Giant are all shutdown, or went steel. Whether the steel versions are better then Texas Stingray is up for debate, but what’s not up for debate is this: Texas Stingray is the most flawless purely wooden rollercoaster in Texas. I’d say this ride alone makes a trip to Sea World more worth it then a trip to Fiesta Texas. Hopefully I’m not hyping it up too much, but just know this—this is my favorite ride I’ve ever ridden. I didn’t even like rollercoasters before I rode this one, but Texas Stingray changed that...
