I love this store but when I was checking out the other day, I was asked if I wanted a rewards card. Of course I do because I spend a lot of money there. Long story short, when I was entering my information in the keypad, I noticed that it was strange that it asked for my income and my social security. Lukily my license was expired and they couldn't use it so I used my sons. I put in the worng social by mistake and he was denied. I didn't understand how you could be denied a rewards card (thankfully i put in a wrong digit), I asked the lady how you get denied for a rewards card and she said, oh it's a credit card with rewards!!!!!! They seriously are tricking people into applying for a CC when they are stating it as a rewards card!!! That is so dishonest - now my son lost 2 points on his credit because of this terrible offer!!! I was so upset!! Never again!! I cannot believe they would try to trick customers! I have a kroger rewards card and I dont' have to sign up for a credit card to get it! So...
Read moreFabulous store. The staff is so friendly, and it's set up very neatly. You can find what you're looking for as soon as you walk through the door, grab a cart and look up. Walk down and to your left you'll see jewelry, shoes, etc. Then you walk right into home goods, clearance to the left and down. Fashion is in the middle, with childrens going into right. I honestly sont k ow if I've ever seen a TJ Maxx so organized, and working in retail, that is one of the first things I look for in a store. If it's set up badly, I cant shop. Lol. So as a customer and someone who works in retail bravo. The store looks great, your staff is helpful but not in the annoying way, and the manager has been very polite to me. I just moved down froMaine, they let me return something without a receipt my mother brought from up there, and since it was such a small amount they didnt even do store credit. I've been there 3 or 4 times. Make that 5 when this Friday...
Read moreHad to wait way too long in checkout line. Two cashiers, two employees came to the front and did not help checkout. One of these employees checked out what appeared to be a special customer who was not in line and then left. The other employee made an announcement fof all available cashiers to come to the front. No one came. One of the cashier's was a trainee with another employee watching her. The customer was asked if they wanted to open a credit card and then the people standing in ljne were down to one checker. The line never decreased and there were a constant 10 people in line taking 20 minutes to checkout. I will try not to shop at this store again and if I enter a TJ Maxx and the checkout line is backed up I will turn around and leave even if I am buying a birthday present for...
