Visited this establishment and was somewhat disappointed. We walked up to the cafe and we saw beautiful photos of the food on the windows, so we thought we were in for a real treat of authentic Argentinian food and flavors. As we walked in we were greeted in Spanish, to which we don’t prefer to speak Spanish as our other family member and friend that came with us doesn’t speak Spanish. We sat down and someone in the party ordered a cappuccino, when we received this cappuccino it was more like a simple cafe con leche definitely not like the photo they advertised. My father ordered a Carlitos is a pan de miga sandwich and should be lightly toasted enough to get gold on the outside and for the cheese to melt.. he received a panini sandwich with the cheese burn around the edges due to this thin sandwich being pressed on a panini maker. Ordered empanadas which for them being in the display case and just needing to be warmed up, took longer to get to the table than the rest of the food. They attempted to make a true Argentinian menu but we’re unable to execute the flavors or the traditional taste. Simple steps were skipped as they attempted to substitute with American shortcuts, which this menu wasn’t created for. We are from Argentina and know how the food should be taste and be made. We will be visiting this establishment in the future to give it a second chance but as of now I wouldn't stop here for...
Read moreThe 4.8 stars are extremely misleading. The food is basic dinner quality while the prices are that of a premium establishment. Our food was severely overcooked so I asked for it to be remade for the prices they charge, which was embarrassing because my fiance and I don't like to be those kinds of people. We then had a second server bring us our original plates back 3 minutes later and pretend to not understand me while I was trying to explain we sent those plates back. I then had to get up and approach where all the staff is to try and find a manager to sort it out once and for all. To find only one server who speaks fluent English and who was so busy running the whole floor that she couldn't translate for me and management. I eventually just sat back down to see if the remade food would be alright. After taking a few bites of my order remade it was slightly better so props to the staff for that. The only other frustrating thing is the server who brought our sent-back order to us in the beginning, re-approached us to ask if everything is okay. The second I said no she immediately assumes I wanted money taken off the tab and said "well there's nothing else I can do. Sorry" then continued to stand there awkwardly for a few moments then walked away. Come here at your...
Read moreWhere Argentinian and Peruvian food meet. They have a bit of everything - snacks and main meals - plus staple items from Argentina such as wines and Havana alfajores. Very nice ambiance and decoration as well as very lively and sweet staff.
In my pictures I left a description of the foods I ate. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cheese, Tomato and Oregano Empanada. It was reeeeaally good. The toasted ham and cheese sandwich also seems to have cream cheese between the slices and bread. It was delicate, simple and tasty.
I wouldn’t order the mini custard pastry again because the custard tasted too artificial and too sweet, but I will come back to taste their alfajores and more empanadas. They also have many types of natural juices, other healthy options and food for vegetarians.
The prices are accessible. The parking lot has parking for people in wheelchair. The entrance is also wheelchair accessible as is the restroom. However, although the restroom has handrails, a low sink and low paper towel dispenser, the soap dispenser is way too high and might be challenging for some.
Verdict: will come back again because of the decoration, the food and drink items from Argentina that you can buy for family and friends, the sweet staff, and...
