Just our honest review on 1-28-25:
Place is very nice inside, nice atmosphere, well furnished. Bar area has little tables to hang just for drinks and appetizers. Nice view of water at coconut mall.
Menu is fairly robust. They do digital menus which is actually a nice surprise, you can see picks and prices of everthing at a glance!
Takes a minute to learn how the menu works, but it's not hard.
Ordered the following:
Bread: Boom! Excellent start! Dislicious, warm, soft inside, well seasoned Bread! Love it! Only Italy has good Bread like this!
Muscles n frites: ok, but lacked flavor. When I finished them and picked at the fries in the middle, I realized there was a "sause" in the bottom of the dish. Well the muscles had none of that sauce on them making them more bland on the taste buds. Somone forget to toss the muscles in the sause?
Fries are Good! Very crispy, good flavor.
Clam chowder: ok. Nice consistency, had good amount of clam peices, but lacked flavor. Even salt wouldnhave helped. I added salt and pepper to make it more attractive to my toungue.
Fish tacos: ok. Gave them a 5 (of 10) which is average. I'm a fish taco connosuer, so I know a good one. These lacked flavor as well. Not sure why most places have lackluster fish tacos?
Crab airinchini: ok. Average, not tons of flavor.
Tuna tots: ok. Average, where is the flavor?
Parm flounder: Good. Nice crisp parm coating, fish was prepared well. The sause on this was a tad too lemony however.
Coconut cheesecake: YUM! We did like this a lot.
Banana Foster: Very Good. The foster sause was a bit potent for our liking however. It's overpowering, so go easy or it ruins the ride!
Overall, food is a bit lackluster in flavor, and prices are pretty high.
Since we like the atmosphere so much, we will give it another try and expand on our testing.
The chefs should eat their food and they will also note the lack of flavor and then can make little changes to make the dishes pop!

Real Seafood in Estero flung open its doors not long ago, and last night, we walked in. The place reeks of class—sleek wood, dim glow, an elegance that’s almost too smooth for a guy like me. But it’s got soul, a quiet promise of the ocean in every corner.
Menus come on tablets, slick as hell—tap a dish, see the allergens pop up… No filter to dodge my personal demons, though, and—get this—you can’t order through it. Tech that flirts but leaves you hanging, like a date who won’t call back.
Then the food hits. Swordfish, tender and fierce, cuts through the bullshit. Seafood paella with just the right spice that laughs at chain-joint mush. Crusted flounder crunches just right; black grouper’s got that deep, meaty pull. But the smoked oysters? That’s the gut punch—briny, charred, a slow burn that lingers like a good story. I wanted more. Every plate you taste something real.
The crowd’s tame—pressed collars, sunburned snowbirds—but the staff hustle like it matters. It’s not a chaotic hole-in-the-wall; it’s too refined for that. Still, Real Seafood knows its game. Feed me smoked oysters 🦪 like that again, and I’ll forgive the...
Read moreIt is always unlikely that two consecutive visits to the same restaurant, the same five people, will result in wow on everyone's plate. As a retired fine dining restaurant owner I know better than to expect anything close to that but that is exactly what happened last night. Five people, some foodies, got lucky(???). We had the same terrific server (Lindsey) as the last time and she was wonderful. Six months after our first visit and she remembered us and what we had each ordered! (Wish I could have had 10 like that at my place...or even a few) The chef sure knows his stuff. Some chefs just know flavors and how to blend to perfection. Chef Ryan is one. From the simplest of house salads to the French fries to the octopus everything was amazing. Gazpacho to start for me was perfect. Others had grilled salmon or Jambalaya or a wonderful dish of scallops. The young one had great crab fritters and the fries. Sadly we all passed on dessert but we'll be back and next time it's Bananas Foster for me. All so good and uniquely dished up! Thank you all at Real Seafood for two incredible evenings of food...
