I feel so ripped off. I paid top dollar for very below par service at an outdated spa. I wanted to take my friend to a nice spa for her birthday after I saw this spa was awarded the “best day spa in San Diego” I went ahead and booked us basic facials, massages (mine a prenatal since I’m pregnant), an ionic foot massage for my friend and a hot oil scalp massage for myself. My friend was happy with her services so that’s why I rate 2 stars. My facial was ok but instead of the basic I ended up choosing the one with “better product” that changed my cost from $140 to $175 the therapist couldn’t really explain why except that the products were better. I should have said no thank you I’ll stick to the basic so that is my fault. After my facial my friend and I waited in the outdated relaxation room. She was called promptly for her 1pm appt. My therapist did not come get me until 1:23. When she got me she asked if I had any focus areas and I said no but she suggested to focus on my hips and glutes since I was pregnant so I agreed but assumed I would still get a whole body massage. She said I was her last client not to worry we have time but never apologized for having me wait for 23 mins. Massage felt more like a light rub than a massage. I was left on one side for an hour and since I’m pregnant with twins it was very uncomfortable, finally she offered to roll me to the other side. I looked up at the clock and realized I had already been in there more than an hour and I only had a 50 min massage. Most people wouldn’t complain about getting an extended massage but all I could think about was how uncomfortable I was and that my friend would be waiting a very long time for me. The second side lasted for less than 20 mins and at that point my arms were never touched and she proceeded to start the “hot oil scalp massage”. The oil was placed in my hair not even warmed up and only put on one side of my head. As I’m typing this I still have oil only on one side. I was actually relieved she didn’t put oil on the other side because at this point I just wanted to get out of there. The massage and hot oil scalp massage should of only been an hour and 20 mins total but I was in there from 1:23 to 3:09 almost 2 hours. At the end of the massage she told me she needed to focus on my hips and glute so she didn’t have time for my arms and hands but that I could take oil later to massage my arms at home. Who actually says that. That’s why I paid you to get a massage. Relived the massage was over she left the room and I quickly got dressed to run out and use the bathroom in the locker room. I get to the locker room and someone is in the bathroom so I had to wait and sure enough my therapist walks out of the bathroom and tells me to have a good day (Don’t they have employee bathrooms that are not in the locker room for clients). I then found my friend in the relaxation room. She was happy with her services but said she was waiting a while for me not quite an hour but for some time. I go to pay the bills for my friend and I noticed they gave my friend the upgraded facial for $195 even know I only scheduled the basic $140 facial. She told me you didn’t have to do that it was so expensive and I didn’t want to say well that’s not what I booked us for. They just went ahead and did that service because I wasn’t there to say different. In the end I spent $745 in services and $80 in with tips for very poor service and a very long incomplete massage that I didn’t want. I’m so disappointed but glad my friend had a good experience with...
Read moreI first went to Beauty Kliniek for the Mother's Day open house event they had. I met with an amazing Naturopathic doctor, Dr. Gena McClure, attended a couple seminar-type group discussions and received a facial and makeup application by John (GREAT guy!) I also met the owner, Linda Ann Kahn and she is an absolute delight. She is an aromatherapist (among many other things) and is very knowledgeable about so many aspects of optimal health. On that day I decided I wanted to begin receiving treatments there.
I have since seen Dr. Gena and am on a detox cleanse that has left me so invigorated and feeling more energetic than I have in ages!
I have also taken advantage of an amazing special they have in place until June 30 - for $45 you receive a colon hydrotherapy session (Celmira is OUTSTANDING!), an ionic foot bath and a eucalyptus steam bath or infrared sauna (I have had both and prefer the steam bath). Celmira is an amazing woman - she is very passionate about helping people achieve optimal health. She is definitely in the right line of work!
The gals at the front desk are very professional, very helpful and always willing to assist with anything you need. They all have such pleasant personalities and positive attitudes. The ladies locker room is quite comfortable. A large shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are available for your use. There are all the beauty aids you could possibly need after showering as well.
My children purchased a massage and infrared sauna at Beauty Kliniek for me for Mother's Day and I am very much looking forward to those treatments also!
I feel so much better with my overall health and credit the amazing folks at Beauty Kliniek with this new, more energized ME! :) I HIGHLY...
Read moreI had a wonderful afternoon of pampering at Beauty Kliniek. The second I walked in my stress level was lowered, the lobby has a nice water feature, high ceilings, sells lovely products and has a friendly staff to greet you. I had a massage scheduled and a 1/2-hour in the infrared sauna. I was escorted to the women's locker rooms, given a very comfortable robe and sandals. I started off in the infrared sauna and was provided a refreshing glass of water with cucumber. The sauna felt amazing, I did not want to leave.
Before my massage I waited in the lounge area that has dim lighting, relaxing music, plus complimentary fruits and teas. I was the off to my massage, I asked to focus on my neck and back area but the full body was fantastic. My masseuse incorporated various styles, I loved the Hawaiian style.. it felt like waves massaging me.
Lastly was my spray tan, it was not my favorite experience because some I did have some spotting but everything else made up for this minor hiccup. The staff was fantastic but there was a bit of a sales pitch at the end which made things slightly uncomfortable BUT, nonetheless the spa is very organized and I would love to...
