Booked a rage room and escape room online with Brainy Actz for 4 people for my Son's birthday. We had a blast! Started with the rage room and we were able to connect our phone to the speaker and play our own rage playlist to get us in the mood. Plenty of options for weapons of mass destruction - sledgehammers, crowbars bats, pipes etc. I would recommend paying for extra objects to smash. We didnt opt for the extra and were given glass bottles and a few previously smashed car doors to smash. Still a great way to get out some frustration nonetheless. Then we went over to the escape room and it was actually pretty challenging and very well thought out. We were given 1 hour. We were able to ask for clues to help us through and we finally solved the mystery with 4 minutes to spare. Overall we enjoyed the activity as a Family and would definitely recommend it. They offer knife/axe throwing and a paint splatter room. They are moving to a new location nearby so we'll definitely have to come back once the new location is up and running.

Me and my boyfriend did the San Diego Splatter Experience - Halloween Glow and Gore and it was A Lot of fun! The staff was nice and attended to us right away. Once in the room, we were given safety rules and everything we needed for our experience which were paint, paint brushes, canvases on easels and plastic protectors for our shoes, clothing and hair. We thought it was neat that we could connect our music to the speaker which made the experience more special. Let’s just say, in an hour a lot of painting, laughing and damage was done. Lol! Plus you get to keep your masterpieces (canvases). Thanks Brainy Actz, we’ll be booking another room soon.

I was looking for something new to do with my toddler, and the splatter room ended up being an awesome find. We booked online (just know that you’re paying for everyone, no matter the age) and we were provided with a private room for the two of us. They gave us two canvasses, two of each color of paint, a variety of brushes and a Bluetooth speaker so we could blast our own music. You also get protective gear if you want it (we opted to just make a mess of our clothes). Everyone there is very friendly and helpful and they helped us package up our paintings to take with us when we left.

My experience here was nightmare to say the least. Upon arrival, everything went smoothly it wasn't until i came into this place where the nightmare began. First and foremost, I placed my order for two people to do the rage room. When I got here the room was not what i expected, the representative i spoke with a day prior said i would receive one big item (refrigerator) and a few bottles but when it was time for me to rage there was roughly 10-15 glass bottles and sheet metal. It was also one person in at a time. The experience of this room was mediocre and not up to par with other rage rooms I've done in the past. When I spoke to the person there at the time he said we could try axe throwing since we drove along way. That experience WAS NOT worth it either we ended up staying 20 mins tops and then left. The place was hot and had no air-conditioning and it was literally a MESS. Boxes, dusk, and just junk everywhere. I called the next day to see what could be done... first Jeff said he would speak with the supervisor and said he'd call me back the next day. The next day came and I didn't hear from him. I took in upon myself to call again and Randy told me there was nothing they could do about my experience and instead offered me 50% off my next visit. That was a big slap in the face, to offer 50% off another visit when the first was a nightmare is a JOKE!!!! I drove 2 hours all the way from LA to experience this and best believe it was not worth the drive nor worth the money. Please do not waste your money especially at this location because you will be disappointed. Based off the other terrible ratings I don't see how this place is still up and running. What you see on the site is not what you get in real life there are other rage rooms in the area worth your time and money don't waste any second...

The highlights of the experience was how sweet our host was. (Shelby I believe?) She was new, but was super polite and rocked it out for being new. We also appreciated that we were alone due to my social anxiety as well as COVID. Other than that, it was a very mediocre experience. We're from colorado, visiting for my birthday. Highly addicted and expierenced in escape rooms. We chose here for the unique and exciting idea of the carnival theme. Throughout the first half of our experience, another employee was walking in and out of the room to get to a storage area making a lot of noise. This alone felt like the immersion was ruined. This same employee also invited us to place our phones up by the front desk. Only to come in and interrupting our experience to say she had another group and she took the liberty of placing our phones in a locker. (Why offer to put them up front in the first place?) I also didn't feel comfortable leaving my phone behind in general as well have elderly family back home watching our home and pet. As well as job situations. (Even for an hour I am more comfortable being always available in the event of an emergency.) The final straw was a part of the escape room was extremely difficult not because of the puzzle itself, but because the item/problem was extremely faded and rubbed off. Therefore having our host need spoonfeed/give the answer to us. (Or else we wouldn't have been able to solve it.) Overall, our host is the only reason for the 3 star rating. But would not go again nor reccomend. Highly...

This is the 2nd escape room I've done in San Diego. Here I did the barbershop scenario w/ 3 other adults while my daughter and 12 of her friends attempted the circus themed room as part of her 13th birthday. We booked the rooms to run concurrently so one group didn't have to wait until the other group was finished. Both the adults and the kids had a good time.

If your mind thinks a certain way, you may find this escape room either more challenging or highly frustrating which would ruin your experience. Read the spoiler alert (below) to see my explanation. My kid and her friends said that the room was large enough that all of them fit in, and there were side challenges unrelated to the overall escape progression that kept them amused.

Overall a great place, props were good and not cheesey, there was enough space in the room for 4 adults to move about easily, puzzles were a challenge but not overly difficult. Amazingly the circus themed room was large enough that my kid and her friends fit in it. The adults finished about 75% of their escape room and the tweens finished theirs.

MINOR SPOILER ALERT: The puzzles were challenging but weren't set up in a linear fashion. That is, completing one task doesn't lead you to the next one specifically needed in the progression. You would find a task, complete it, and then stumble upon another puzzle that is actually 2 or 3 places further in the progression. You had to mentally note all of the clues found and then put...
