For $8, this small museum packed a punch with its current exhibit. Aside from a Holocaust museum, I’ve never felt so much turmoil and heartbreak in an exhibition. The artists put faces, names, and years robbed away from immigrant farmers and people desperately trying to cross the border, just to live. My words give these creations no justice. It was informative, enlightening and disillusionment tumbling together to pull at my emotions.
I had the pleasure of speaking with the photographer of some of the work on display. It was a treat to hear the backstory from him personally of when he took the pictures.
The museum also has a gift shop that was pretty decent and carried a variety of art work, books, stickers, t shirts jewelry and knick knacks.
Located right next to Chicano Park, there's no reason not to visit if you're already in the area. Definitely...

The community has been around for many years, enduring the placement of the I-5 freeway that divided the neighborhood.
