Asian inspired pizza? Enough said! My wife found this place on Yelp and I definitely wanted to try it out, since I could eat pizza every day. This place is located in Bario Logan, next to the 5 freeway, close to a Mexican supermarket, and next to a barber shop. They just moved here from another location, so it still looks like some parts of the restaurant are still being renovated. They have beer, pizza by the slice, and pizza made to order. Their pizza comes in deep dish style or hand tossed. They take your order at the counter and then give you a number to take to your table. The decor is that of a chill living room and bar with a few sofas and small tables. The staff were very friendly. We asked for some garlic ranch sauce and that was a game changer! I highly recommend this. They have a lot of unique flavors as well as traditional ones. I love the pepperoni pan slice. It was crispy, savory, cheesy, and chewy. The sisig and mentaiko were excellent as well. Tons of flavor in each slice. At about $27 for a whole pizza, I'd definitely recommend this place, especially if you want something different from all the other pizza places in San Diego.

These guys are located inside of Market on 8th food hall in National City, and their pizza is worth seeking out. I tried their special of the day - it was Chicago-style with chicken, mushrooms, chili peppers and salsa - and it was delicious. The staff (owner?) was super cool and gave me good recommendations about the options they had that day, their t-shirts are killer, and they stock New York Seltzer, which is not that easy to find these days. Even the pagers (pictured) they use to let you know your order is ready are cool - light and compact, and not the size of a drone like most places. While you wait you can check out the other vendors (mostly food) at the food hall, and grab a coffee, beer, kombucha or other beverage. There are picnic-style tables right outside Pizza Kaiju, as well as much more seating throughout the rest of the hall.

Elevated pizza experience! The food, vibes, and service were top notch. Our party of 2 shared a whole pizza half & half: mentaiko and bulgogi supreme.

Bulgogi supreme was a nice flavor bomb - loved the touch of dried chili slivers. The crust was nicely charred too. I saw that one of the ingredients was garlic chive but it was replaced with scallions. Wonder if the sweetness of the pizza would have been more balanced if they used the ingredient listed.

The mentaiko pizza could’ve been better - mentaiko didn’t come through so the flavors were more muted on this one.

The person serving us (incredibly sweet) checked up on us a few times and also gave us black miso garlic ranch to try. It was so refreshing on the crust!

Would absolutely come back again and try with beer &...
