Our Mother of Confidence Catholic Parish — Attraction in San Diego

I would love to give you 5 stars, but we were there on Sunday 9:00 A.M. Mass , October 22,2023. We were visiting with family. I was so offended by usher Mike an older man, because I stepped aside with my non-crying grandson and my 5 year old grandson, because the baby was squirmy, not crying at all. We were standing at the back of the church by the entrance a little to the side. When Mike made a remark about the children's voice causing an echoe, and then proceeded suggesting we sit in the back like way in the back! We are already in the back of the church. The children were not being loud, or even annoying. I have never been treated so unwelcoming as this man made me feel. Jesus said “bring me the little ones” sir these little souls that we bring to Mass are our future Saints! I am a devout practicing Catholic and I am extremely respectful while at Mass, if my grandchildren act up, we excuse ourselves. His reaction was completely unwarranted, rude and so cold. Final note my 5 year old grandson attends Catholic School so he knows how to behave in Mass. My daughter told me the father has many times said “ bring the children to Mass” sit up front, maybe Mike needs some coaching? Other than this incident I really enjoy coming here when we are visiting. We will continue to sit up front, so that our 5 year old can see the miracle right before his...

We have been parishioners form more than 25 years and have only grown to love this faith community more and more each day. The people are regular folks, some of us with pain and suffering and others ready to care and love us. It's a very holy place if you want it to be. We often just walk into the main church and sit with the light, and the wonderful, gentle sound of birds and peace. The best time to go is anytime and my favorite times are alone but also with friends at Mass. And the music the Tiaze experiences are terrific. Holy, holy holy...thank you...
