I do not recommend this hospital. Their approach was unprofessional and, in my experience, showed a disregard for human life.
My son is disabled, and an orthopedic surgeon proposed surgery on his legs—including his feet, knees, and hips. I initially requested that the feet and knee surgeries be done together, followed by hip surgery a year later. However, the doctor convinced me to proceed with all three at once, arguing that it would spare my son the pain and risks of undergoing anesthesia twice.
After discharge, my son experienced continuous hip pain and frequent fevers. I visited the ER and consulted home care doctors multiple times, but they only prescribed pain medication. On our third ER visit, after a few infusions, the hospital wanted to discharge him again. I insisted on a CT scan and ultrasound, which revealed a hematoma and infection in his hip. This led to two additional surgeries to drain the infection. Shortly afterward, my son suffered seizures for a week.
Initially, the doctors prescribed six weeks of antibiotics via weekly infusions. Later, they changed the plan to just three weeks and switched to oral medication. Within three days, my son developed fever, pain, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. I returned to the ER and primary care multiple times, explaining that his condition worsened after switching to oral antibiotics. Despite this, the infectious disease specialist insisted on continuing the oral treatment.
Eventually, after another ER visit, my son was readmitted. After several changes in medication, the doctors finally acknowledged that the oral antibiotics were causing side effects and resumed the infusions.
Throughout this ordeal, my son and our entire family suffered immensely. I deeply regret agreeing to the surgery. To this day, we still don’t know how long his recovery will take and still don't know when will he reach back to his baseline or it...
Read moreThe level of neglect and inefficiency at this hospital is unbelievable. We brought our child in because he was sick and in need of a chest x-ray. After more than three hours of waiting, nothing had been done. Families come to a hospital for care, not to be left in limbo with no answers.
What makes this worse is that staff admitted this happens every year around “back to school” season because they see more patients. That means this hospital knew the rush was coming and still did not prepare. It shows a total lack of planning and responsibility.
A children’s hospital should put kids first, yet here they leave very sick children waiting for hours without even completing basic tests. The communication was nonexistent and the concern for families was clearly absent. This is not acceptable for any medical facility, let alone one that receives public funding.
This place has shown us nothing but disorganization and disregard for the people who rely on it. Parents should not have to fight or wait endlessly to get care for...
