Todays experience was terrible! What started as a good experience turned into a rude one! When we first got there we had ordered a qty. of 2 2-items combo. Right after ordering we decided we wanted to have some spam with our meal so I had ordered a side of spam right after we had ordered our 2-item combos. The girl at the register said it will be out soon. They brought our combos along with our drinks, so we started eating knowing the spam will come soon. The food was delicious as always. We were waiting and waiting and kept looking if they were going to bring it but they never did! A huge line started to form so I had told my boyfriend if they don’t bring it by the time we’re done eating I’m going to ask for a refund. So we finished and was still waiting, by that time it had already been 25 -30 minutes or more since they first brought out our combos. So my boyfriend went up to the counter and said we never got our spam and that my girl friend wanted a refund. So the guy behind the counter said he’ll go check if it’s there but I saw him tell the girl at the register to see if they made the spam yet. So my boyfriend came back to the table and I told him that we didn’t want it now because we were suppose to eat it with our meal, while in line I saw her bring it out to our table BUT that was after the fact we had complained that we never got it! So I spoke to the girl at the register and said that I just want a refund because it was too late when they brought it and she told me she couldn’t give me a refund bcz she had already put it in our table. The rudest park from all that was the guy at the register next to her asked me what happened and after hearing it he just put his hands up and shrugged and ignored me after that and helped the next customer! That was horrible customer service!!! They were very rude and handled the situation so unprofessionally! I really like it here but I will not come to a place where they treat their customers...

So where do I begin!? I was kinda let down by this place and I'm sad to say that cuz I had pretty high hopes I was going to find that hidden gem I just couldn't wait to get back to. I feel they are a bit overpriced for what they serve. I got the combo plate with Kahlua Pork and Lava Chicken. Kahlua Pork good, juicy in some spots crispy in others and that overtop of one of the scoops of rice was really good! The other scoop of rice was cooked well but a bit dry and could of been a little saucier since I now knew the difference. The Lava Chicken was much sweeter than I expected and I thought that might have some spice. The mac salad was the worst of all. It tasted so bland and boring and like some of the worst mac salad around. I don't know how they do it in Hawaii but they could use some vinegar in that salad or salt for goodness sakes! The beef lumpia were ok but, I wished I had went with the Kahlua Pork wontons cuz those looked delish but, maybe next time I'll get that and a Dole Whip and save some cash cuz I didn't find this place as cheap as I expected. My boyfriend got the Spicy Poke and that was really good. Lots of it for around 12$ which wasn't too bad. We asked for water cups and they told us they don't give those out they only had water for purchase which was kinda a bummer and the front register girl didn't seem happy in the slightest with her job. It was kinda tiny inside without much decoration but, they did have outdoor seating. I might come back here one day for a delicious lemonade or Dole Whip Float and a snack but, nothing major to rush back to anytime soon...

THEY DO NOT TAKE FOOD ALLERGIES SERIOUSLY! The food is great if you have NO one at your event who has ANY food allergies. If you ask them to accommodate for SERIOUS FOOD ALLERGIES, they will say it is no problem, and then COMPLETELY DISREGARD your requests. We ordered food for a kid's birthday party and requested no peanut, sesame, or egg product. At pickup, we double checked at the register that were supplying food that had been prepared without those allergens, which they happily confirmed (of course, no one actually looked at the food, or apparently our order request). Half of the dishes came with egg and sesame seeds, so the ENTIRE order was inedible to us. I WOULD NEVER TAKE A CHANCE AGAIN, FOOD ALLERGIES CAN BE LIFE THREATENING! Although mistakes can happen, when I informed them that we were disappointed to discover our specific allergens in our birthday order, they did not even respond to my message. The ONLY way I could get the restaurant to respond was to threaten them with a bad review, then suddenly I got a response within the minute! I was not asking for anything more than an acknowledgement of their error, it is important that they start taking food allergies seriously, after all, they are in the catering business and clients are responsible for their guest's safety.
