This is a tough review to write because I didn't know much about Sea World before coming. The orca show seemed like a good idea and in terms of entertainment, it was interesting to watch the power and trainability of the animals. The show was a bit short, thus the four stars. Afterwards, reading about the controversy surrounding holding orcas in captivity was sobering. While they're are benefits, research, rehabilitation, general care, the downsides are noted in online sources, such as the floppy dorsal fin syndrome and impact on family dynamics for such intelligent animals. So, like the dolphin show, I have mixed feelings about this. Here are pics of the show to give you a sense of both the entertainment value and environment.

There is always the ongoing debate over whether or not Orca's should be held in captivity with arguments on research and care versus living in the wild. Until said arguments get resolved, if you want to see an Orca up close, this is the place to do it. Seeing them in the wild is a matter of chance and you will rarely if ever see much more than a dorsal fin and a pod passes by.

I’ve always loved coming to see the Orcas! Even though the whole idea of captive Marnie animals is wrong. Sea World does a great job of keep these beautiful animals as healthy and active as possible to allow these animals the best chance of life! And it allows everyone the opportunity to see these magnificent creatures!
