They see you as a wallet. They don't value you as a customer. When I called to make an appointment, they would rudely hang up on me in the middle of the calls. I would have to call again. They would act so rudely when I was asking for an appointment time that worked with me. If you are Asian, Korean, and White, they will sit you on time for your appointment time. If you are Mexican, Hispanic, and Latino, they will intentionally service you last - even if you come on time for your appointment. This happened to my family and myself every single time we came here. They consistently had us waiting 5 + hours after our appointment times - despite us coming on time. I had suggested this place to many people - family and friends. My friends and family suggested this place to other people. We went there for years. When I started paying attention to how they wete treating us, I stopped going and encouraged my family to stoo going there too. No matter where you from, you deserve to be treated with respect and like a person. My family and myself were never aporeciated as customers. We were looked at as wallets. The female Korean stylists and Korean staff would make fun of me for looking at how they are doing haircuts and providing services. What do you expect me to do when you have me waiting 5 hours past my appointment time? They wrote a false review pretending to be me - mocking me on Yelp - saying - "I was looking at a male Korean stylist and he was so handsome". They also talked about my family in that fake review. How hard is it to admit you are wrong, you are racist, and you are extremely rude and disrespectful? They wrote a fake review pretending to be me to lie. In my actual experience, they were rough and rude - eveb when washing my hair, drying my hair, and brushing my hair - There was a person who pulled and brushed my hair so badly. It truly hurt. A staff member told me this has happened to other customers and Julie, the salon owner doesnt do anything about it. Why do you have a staff member who extremely and roughly pulls on and brushes customers' hair and dont do anything? Do better, be better. It is wrong to be racist towards Mexican, Latino, and Hispanic people. Your staff should be polite. You shouldn't be making Mexican, Latino, and Hispanic people wait 5 plus hours for a haircut past their...
Ā Ā Ā Read more4/28/2025 Update: Time to find a new salon, because I can't keep coming for one or 2 stylists when the assistants are doing half of the service. It was fine with Aya-san and Paul, but the new assistants need to focus on improving their skills. Please!!!!!
I'm in about every 6-8 weeks for color service with Ayumi but I have noticed the quality of work on the parts she does is so much better (natural blending one one side of my head vs harsh on the other š). And I'm even cringing when the assistant blow dries my hair, because there is too much heat focus on my scalp.
Today's service was a total mess. I booked a cut and color update with a different stylist, and first of all my back was soaked during the hair wash so color transferred onto my shirt. Second the stylist and assistant kept forgetting that I was also getting a cut. The consequences of this is that the stylist asked the assistant to blow dry my hair. She blow dried it with a side part instead of center. When the stylist came back, she asked me again if i was getting a cut but said it was too late to shape bangs. I told her normally if I re-wet it and use a round brush to dry again it works fine. She did that and finished the service. Many mistakes were made because lack of focus/attention to detail.

Fresh cut and color by Akiko--always blends my layers beautifully! I have thick, coarse, naturally black hair, and I've been a regular for about a year now (after trying a few other salons) and have not been...

I had went to this salon on 2 previous occasions. No issues. My 3rd visit has been traumatic. I wanted a simple full blonde highlight, which I have gotten for the past 15 yrs, with no issues. On my visit, the stylist turned my hair orange, then spent 3 hrs trying to fix it. I left the salon with burgundy hair after 6.5 hrs in the chair. I was calm and understanding to the stylist. The next day, went back to have my hair fixed. The whole time the stylist and her co-workers made me feel like it was my fault the stylist messed my hair up. When the stylist finished, my hair was darker than when initial came in. Which was the exact opposite of what I requested. I expressed my concerns, but the stylist didnāt care. I paid with no issues and tipped. I texted the stylist the next day because I was so disappointed and dissatisfied with her work. I literally have blocks of hair not died. She assumed I wanted free work (which I didnāt) and stated she had already spent enough time on me unpaid and her boss was upset.
Iām appalled at this salon and their unprofessional behavior and poor business practice.
My hair is embarrassing and now I will have to pay another salon $300-$400 to fix what Abee did.
Do not use Abee!!!!! She does not know color and is...
