Thai Tradition Massage — Attraction in San Diego

So, I’ve been subtly (okay, not so subtly) hinting to my girlfriend for the past year that I needed a massage. I’m talking stiff back, tight shoulders, and the occasional dramatic groan after standing up too fast. And wouldn’t you know it, for my birthday, she finally came through with a gift card for a Thai massage. Best gift ever.

Making the appointment was a breeze. I called the same week I got the gift card and was all set. The place is on El Cajon Blvd., just seven minutes from my house—super convenient. When I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist, who, surprise, also turned out to be my masseuse! Her name was Nikky, and let me tell you, this woman is basically a Jedi of massage therapy.

The inside was spotless, calm, and just had this “your stress doesn’t stand a chance” vibe. Nikky led me to the most comfortable massage platform bed I’ve ever laid on, and then she got to work. I opted for the 90-minute massage with hot stones, and when I told her to go hard, oh, she went hard. It was one of those “hurts so good” moments where you can actually feel all the tension being kicked out of your body.

I walked in feeling like a stiff board and walked out feeling alive. Nikky was amazing—she worked magic on every knot and sore spot I didn’t even know I had. The positive reviews here are 100% accurate. I considered other businesses in the area that were slightly cheaper ($79-90 for 90min), but decided to go for Thai Style Massage ($95/90min, cash).

I’m sure all the masseuses here are excellent. My experience was pleasant, comfortable and very professional. No funny business. I ultimately made the decision because one of the photos said “no photography. No sexual massages. If one is requested, you will be told to leave.” That put me at ease.

I have had several massages, and this one was the best I’ve had. I had Yaya (reviews did not disappoint), and she was so sweet and competent and friendly. We were set up in one room originally, but then to accommodate my taller frame (6’4”), moved to a better table. She even made sure that I got the full 90mins of massage I paid for.

This was solid time spent massaging, not waiting around, she was very attentive, and asked me to tell her if it was too soft or too hard anytime she changed movements. There was a great variety of movements and positions and I felt very refreshed afterward. Money well spent. A 20-30% tip is good (but tip whatever you feel the massage was worth).

Loved this experience! My fiancee and I were recommended by a friend for the Deep Tissue massage. Our friend said it was very intense but felt good at the end, and she was very right. I've never had this type of massage before and didn't know what to expect, but it was very enjoyable. I was slightly worried because I recently hurt my lower back, but I mentioned this to the staff and they were careful and it helped by back overall. This is the type of massage where the staff stand on your back, and I loved the experience. My back usually never cracks, so it was interesting when they are able to make it do so. There were a few positions where the staff would bend me extremely or throw my in their arms, which was a little frightening at first, since it is new to me, but was kinda fun once I got over that.
