Torrey Pines North Beach Parking Lot — Attraction in San Diego

Sleazy and ableist employees enforcing ridiculous parking fees on disabled people here. I came to Torrey Pines beach with someone who was disabled. The south parking lot did not have an accessible route to the beach at all. I discovered this only after paying for parking at the machine.

One of the beach/park staff told me to drive to the north parking lot instead (this one) and show them my south parking pass and they should let me park at no extra cost. They refused to acknowledge my pass and made me pay another $25 to get in. A ranger cop had to ask them to reimburse me, in which they obliged and said they would mail me a check in “4-6 weeks” even though I paid them with card. It’s 2 months later and no check in the mail.

Please just go to Del Mar beach down the street instead - it’s far more accessible and you won’t have to deal with...

This beach is a delight. Walking it gives you such a peace of mind. There are so many rocks out here. So many friendly people too. The sunsets are magical here. Thank you Lord for such a delightful place.😌 U can also hike out here too, they have different trails and overlook sites with benches to enjoy a nice book, conversation with a good friend. Big parking lot just a walk to the beach it has bathrooms full body shower areas. Also self pay 10$.. The only issue is if you are coming later in the day to the beach the tide will come up to the small step to get back to the parking lot. But its not awful just would take bigger items to the car before it gets to bad. This area of the beach had...
