I love this place! The J-Town farmers market was off the grid for quite a while, but opened back up in the summer, so they're still getting back in their feet. I was told that every other week is a lighter week, with less vendors. The pictures shown are of a lighter week. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We bought from almost every tent! This is in the Gordon Biersch lot, and even they are selling some discounted products! A must go if you're in the area

I’ve been living in the Bay Area for over 10 years and I have only now just visited the Japantown Farmer’s Market for the first time. What a gem!!! It’s a super lovely set-up with tents, tables, chairs, and games in the center and all of the stands on the perimeter. Pretty decent selection of stands for a small market too; there’s basically one of each type of major vendor present (coffee, fruits, veggies, seafood, etc.). Even the DJ was great! But the best part of all was one of the hot food vendors… They have one of the best damn Japanese curries I’ve ever had (outside of Japan). And it was prepared with such care too! I don’t even want to share the name because I want it to remain Japantown’s best kept secret 🫣 so I guess you’ll just have to pay a visit to the farmer’s market to find out for yourself 😜 and support our other small, local businesses while...

Very little to do with Farmers. There are several bakery/pastry vendors; a beer stall, a hummus guy, three farm stalls that are conventional farmers and One organic stall. The organic farmers have great berries and their prices are fair. I think Farmer's Markets should be about organic foods. If you want conventionally farmed foods, you can get them at every grocery store. I tried to discuss this with the women in the information tent but yhey were very defensive and not open to...
