Big shout out to Steve who have kept me in his mind for a special Paul Newman which I have been chasing since Rolex started introducing see-thru back and discontinued many line-ups for Daytona collection in March.
It was Saturday early morning when I was still hungover from Taylor Swift concert ion Fri nite, when I decided to queue outside here. I was 2nd in the line & there's already someone ahead of me by 10:30am a good 30min before this great Rolex Boutique which I have the privilege to be acquainted since 2020, when I bought my 1st Rolex here which is a Wimbledon.
While in the queue I got a feeling the 116508 Paul Newman which I have dream of owning since 2006 will be avail today. The store opened on the dot & Steve was at-hand to give me his warm welcome.
I told Steve my priorities were the same, and I am actually quite far away from my birthdays or work anniversary. So there's nothing to justify me for getting any allocation as my last watch from them, was just 2 mths ago, which was an Air-King.
I am very impressed when Steve was able to remember the 3 Daytona watches; namely the YG/WG Paul Newman, Pikachu & Ghost I wanted, instead of DayDate40 YG Olive Green & Green dials which I told him are no longer priority as my boss is wearing them.
I told Steve, as I have told Joel, Trissine, Gilbert & team since March this year, I wanted something to contrast my OysterFlex Choco. I wanted a DD40 OG/Green initially. In May, I told Steve & many team members here there's a reorg in my company. I have a new big Boss & he's sporting a DD40, so I decided to change my waitlist abruptly in May to Daytona YG/RG/WG Oyster with a different dial to contrast my Choco (Paul Newman, Pikachu, Ghost).
I always knew changing my waitlist may result in me getting pushed into the back of allocation queue for this rare exquisite piece.
So on Sat, I was about to just come in quickly to say hi to Steve & team and was about to walk out as there's already a long queue forming as it's weekend, when Steve told me to hang on & wait for him.
Steve came back moments later with a Paul Newman & my Taylor Swift concert sore legs from 5hrs of jumping up & down is gone immediately. If not for my hungover & tiredness, I would have jumped up & down while saying yes to this marvelous piece which I have dreamt of since 2006. I would have run around like a child if not for previous nite incident of almost getting banned from Levis's stadium after I partied too hard during Taylor Swift concert.
Also when my credit card was rejected to my horror, Steve & a new nice lady team member, was at hand two help me as the card was not used since Joel helped me with a Daytona Choco in 2022.
As before, Steve is masterclass when he patiently use his lint-free gloves to size, help me take the stickers off & even helped me wear this great yet heavy Oyster YG watch, without even a single scratch.
All was well, as Steve & his new colleague who I forgot to ask her name, in my glee & happiness offered me champagne while I waited for the Oyster link to be sized, paper work to be completed & card to be registered.
Steve helped me packed everything nicely and this is the 2nd watch I got from him. The previous one was the OP41 Yellow in 2020 which Clay, Vince & Steve helped me with. Note: We didn't manage to match our watch today.
I waited till today Monday to get my safe deposit box, to take pics of all the watches that Steve and many in this great Rolex Boutique team (J. Light & Sons) namely Steve, Joel, Trissine, Gilbert, Vince & the late great Clay Sims.
I still have every single watch you guys have allowed me to own & look forward to more from you soon.

Yvette has been an exceptional partner throughout my Rolex journey. What stood out to me is how she invests in her relationships with her customers. She takes the time to understand your goals and what is important to you. While I love all the intricacies and mechanical details of each Rolex timepiece (I could talk about it all day), its true significance for me are the landmark accomplishments and milestones each timepiece represents to me and my wife.
My latest purchase, a 34mm "Candy Pink" Oyster Perpetual, was a surprise gift for my wife’s 30th birthday. Yvette worked incredibly hard to make it a reality, working behind the scenes to secure it. When she presented it to my wife, she was in complete disbelief. Tears of joy were shed. She was so touched and shocked that she had me ask her for the time every 20 minutes that day. Thanks to Yvette, my wife now has the Rolex she loves, a timeless piece that will forever symbolize this celebration of her life. And I am incredibly thankful to her and the rest of the staff for that.

You can trust that you're in great hands with every visit. The friends, family, and coworkers I’ve taken also love coming here. J. Licht and Sons Rolex Boutique in Santa Clara continues to beat my expectations in every way. Yvette is the primary SA that I have had the pleasure of working with. She has always made me feel welcomed and cared to, even as she fields the MANY MANY questions I have about the purchase process and different timepieces at their boutique. I appreciate that her answers are always very transparent and concise, setting me up with realistic expectations while keeping my goals and timelines in mind.
I am also extremely appreciative of how welcoming and attentive she is to my fiancée. Yvette has invested the time in getting to know us as a couple and as individuals, and has our tailored experience accordingly. In fact, her hospitality has made Westfield Valley Fair our preferred mall in general as we really do enjoy visiting this boutique and catching up with Yvette whenever we can.
Yvette is an absolute ROCKSTAR and I will always confidently recommend her to my friends and family who are on their journey for a Rolex. She’s an excellent SA, friend, and person and has redefined what I’ve come to expect from a “white-gloved” experience.

I also wanted to quickly call out that I’ve gotten to know the store manager and many of the SAs at this boutique and they are all wonderful people. Don’t be shy to be yourself and ask questions, especially if it’s your first time purchasing from them. They really are doing their best to help their customers and make them feel both informed and comfortable.
It might be an odd callout to some, but this boutique also has the BEST and most welcoming doorman. I’ve been to many luxury boutiques all over the world and have never met an individual so warm and friendly.

Read moreLast December 8th, 2024 my wife and I went to Westfield Valley Fair Mall, when she was doing her Christmas shopping I saw the short line at Rolex Boutique which was unusual on a Sunday so I did fall in line. I was 2nd in line and already checked in, all of a sudden Gee called me that Miss Yvette Vasquez would like to see me inside. I was greeted by her and she was looking for my wife as she would like to give us a chocolates 🍫 and asked me to call my wife.
I have no idea that my wife and Yvette have a plan to surprise me.
My wife and I were greeted and had a chat with the Store Director Miss Johna Monteith. She took a picture of us, I got a hint and I was elated already.
Through the perseverance and hard work of Yvette, she was able to allocate the highly sought after timepiece that will commemorate my wife and I wedding anniversary. I am beyond grateful for Yvette’s dedication and being genuine to me and my wife every time we come to the boutique to see her. I would be able to use the function of the timepiece as well when ever we travel.
While I was signing the paper work my hands were shaking like a leaf and still could not believe that Yvette was able to allocate one of the most difficult timepiece to acquire.

Last August 5th, 2024 I brought my wife to Rolex Boutique Westfield Valley Fair Mall without her knowledge that I received an email from Johna Monteith to swing by the boutique to see her and Steve Cortes.
We were greeted by Trissine Felles and served us with champagne 🥂at the lounge.
Johna and Steve surprised my wife with a timepiece to commemorate her birthday. We’re grateful for allocating the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31mm Turquoise Blue.
The wonderful birthday surprise was exciting for my wife and for me as well.
