I was disappointed to find this place closed, despite the website and the sign on the actual building saying it was open, especially after paying $10 for parking. I visited during the SJMADE Fest, which may have been the reason (I didn't know this was going on). I understand the difficulty of keeping regular hours with volunteer operations, but I would check ahead if there's an event going on in the park because things might be closed randomly...
