I went for their Friday night fireworks. That was awesome. The game was okay . It would be better if they used a different netting to protect the spectator's . The thick black one they have up makes it hard to see the game and forget about trying to keep your eye on the ball because you can't see that either. The food was pricey and one beer cost what you would pay for a 6 pack. The parking was $15 but if you go on a night with no fireworks it cost $10. The ticket prices start @ $12 for general admission, those are the bleacher seats and about $20 for assigned seating. I purchased the $20 assigned seats and regretted it about 20 minutes into the game. The seats were as uncomfortable as the bleachers and the sun was in my face for most of the game. My recommendation to you for a better experience than mine is; purchase bleacher seats and take a cushion for your booty, eat a big azz meal before going and if you have to enjoy the game with a buzz have a designated driver and drink before you go. One more thing, they have games you can participate and win prizes for. Make sure you play the tennis ball throw for big prizes like a trip to Hawaii. For the newbies, like I was, let me tell you how to play because they don't bother explaining. You purchase a bag full of numbered tennis balls for $5 and at the end of the game you will be throwing your balls from the stands onto the field. The object of the game is to try and make your ball into the designated area to win the prize. And there you go my visit to the San Jose Giants game in a...
Read moreI haven't been to many ball parks, but this place seems fine to me. It's shockingly clean for the number of people coming through and they serve a good variety of decent-quality food, including all of the classics - corn dogs, hot dogs, funnel cake, churros, nachos, BBQ... I will say that parking is very expensive - $15 at our last visit. We typically pick up free vouchers for seats at local businesses and then park a few blocks away to avoid paying. Exercise is good for you. The freebie seats are benches with backs, which isn't terrible. They are also located right behind home plate, which is rad. The staff are very attentive and helpful. They'll pick you out right quick if you're looking lost and can point you toward your seats. They maintain a good presence - not too invasive, but there to break up a fight, if one were to start up. The minor league Giants seem like a good team and we always have fun watching them. The field has an LED playback board and a secondary electronic board showing number and speed of pitches. They have lots of little activities between the innings to include kids in the sport, which is cool. They do seem to have the same ones every time, but hey, it just builds traditions, right? All the staples are there - an announcer, musical cues, a clowning mascot (Gigante is awesome), and they always acknowledge holidays and bring some kid up to completely slaughter our national anthem (as it should be; you're not singing it right if you don't sing it wrong - loud...
Read moreA great place for a company party, especially the VIP deck. Turkey Mike's for the great BBQ and numerous booths for beer and more. You are right on the field. Third base must be less than 20 get away. The players are friendly from both teams. Many children in our party, they all got a baseball. Best fireworks in the Bay area. I believe they are on most Friday nights. Just a great experience and incredibly cheap. If you go to the web site for the sj Giants you can find out where they are offered and what night are fireworks. Going on 10 years of excitement for my family. Plenty for the kids to do, all free with the VIP...
