City of San Leandro Root Park — Attraction in San Leandro

The park is decent. I took my 2 yr old son here and he seemed to like it the only issue was that the park was small and near the road so i had to really keep my eye on him. There is an area below where you can see water and lots of greenery but it has many homeless people underneath. This is a great place to take a break in for lunch or pass by for a short period of time but not for families. There are little stores like safeway, mcdonalds,dominoes...

I mean the park is small town cute but with the main walk closed its just a bridge over muddied waters. Yhe steps are closed off but clearly it only stops those who believe they aren't allowed to explore over the chain. Small grass Park , benches by the creek, next to the police station. No play ground. Small lawn areas the community do have flower garden which is beautiful to see. The creek brings homeless under the bridge. So many garbages scattered in Mother nature. It's good for a quick rest for the walks or quick bites.
