A fantastic place for English Tea Time. Beautifuly rebuilt and expanded with opening in 2023. Exisite service. Good Tea, yummy traditional and Nuevo tea snacks. While this is a wonderful place, if you never had Formal English Tea, you might want to check out descriptions and the history of English Tea before you choose to invest in this experience. There are three dinning areas to choose from: the original Rose Tea Room with views on the Rose Garden. This is the most traditional area, and my favorit. -the new west Herb Garden area. This has views onto the Herb Garden and is very modern in design. the new east Tereace area. This is an open area that is quite beautiful. Just remember the weather might effect your experience.
Reservations are a must as the Tea Room is usually fully booked months in advance.
Even the restroom is quite nice with old style look and modern concepts and fixtures. It ranks very high on my personal list of bathrooms.
The reception area is decorated with art from Huntington Libraries collection, adding an extra visual treat to your experience.

There are so many varieties of beautiful gardens from around the world. It was a sensory garden (quite literally!) with rivers, bridges, waterfalls, intricate architecture, and the scent of all the lush greenery. I've always loved these gardens and now that I'm older, I really appreciate the peace and relaxation I find in this enchanting spot. There is plenty of shaded parking when you enter the grounds. This museum is more expensive than some of the more popular ones, but it is well worth checking out for a simple solo lunch, a first date, or falling in love...
Read moreNot the best experience overall due to staff. Indoor reservations were made over a month in advance just for the hostess to tell us indoor seating is first come first serve and that they couldn’t accommodate the indoor request. Got sat outside and waited a while before a server arrived. I had a couple questions over the menu but didn’t feel comfortable asking any more after the second time the server walked away to go do something else. I’m guessing if you don’t have an immediate answer after 5 seconds they walk away? Be sure to CHECK your tea pot because mine had lots of previous tea build up inside it. When I told my server about it he just went to refill it with more tea to the brim so you couldn’t see it. What saves the review is purely the ambiance. It’s a beautiful place with good food from the...
