Bay Meadows Park — Attraction in San Mateo

This park is located where the old Bay Meadows use to be. There is a large park located on 28th Ave with a large field area and a pond with ducks. There are public restroom and a few bbg areas . ( Like 2 I believe) Not a lot of shade on sunny days, but it's peaceful and well kept. Great place to take your dog for a walk. If you explore the new development the park is located within you will find a kids park with basket ball court as well. A few blocks from there is 4 blocks with individual park on each block. popular public park for walks with lots of locals taking advantage of the space. not that big, but doesn’t feel tight. sometimes gets a little noisy due to the sports activities or events at the convention center next door.

an annoyance is the large canadian geese flock that tends to hang around and leave poop all over the place. it’s so much nicer after a nice rain and they’re not around when the paths are mostly clean.

The park is great and well maintained. The path around the grass is wide enough to bike or scooter. There are lights along the path at night. There are soccer goals and a baseball diamond. The pond next to it is nice and has ducks and other birds. Sometimes more uncommon bird species (for the area) appear at the pond like the snow egret, the green heron, the blue heron, and the bufflehead. Overall...
