Safari Run, San Mateo — Attraction in San Mateo

The purpose of this review is to highlight the service that Safari Run provides. Safari Run was an excellent choice to use for a weekend party of 45 people. Prior to booking Safari Run, I checked it out on and open play night. While children were at play, Mason took some time to show me around the facility and explain the process for booking a party. Mason is an excellent host. A party was booked online for a 4 year olds birthday party. Roughly 20 kids and 25 adults. Food was ordered a week before the party (Señores Pizza is the catering host) , all details were in order. Day of the party, time slot was on time, the employees greeted everyone, assisted with our goodie bags and cake. They set everything up while the kids were being entertained in the Jungle. After the play time was over they escort everyone upstairs to the dining area where the staff takes care of the food prep and cleanup. They interact with the crowd and stay engaged. After eating they professionally pack up any left overs and everyone heads downstairs to the arcade room (if you chose the arcade package). Games are really good for young kids and after play they can pick out prizes from the counter with the tickets they win. Overall, the place is great. The staff really shines and works well together. During summer 2020, our 5yo was missing social interaction and needing activities. We were so blessed to find summer camp at Safari Run. Even though he was the youngest at camp and we as parents were worries, the staff did a fantastic job of relieving our worries and of making him feel a part of the group. When his birthday was coming up this fall, we booked a private play session for him and a few friends. He's been talking about Safari Camp and the "big structure" for months, so it was a real treat to get to go back and show everything to his friends. They had a blast exploring and having the entire place to themselves. The staff were welcoming and inviting, and made us all feel very comfortable in terms of health/safety protocols. 1. Clean! The staff make sure that everything is kept clean. They wipe down all the structures and equipment. There is a hand-washing station right there for the kids, and hands are washed before and after play.
2. Free internet.
3. Enjoyable for different age ranges (including teenagers)
4. Arcade has a nice variety of games (air hockey, whack-a-mole, pac-man, skeeters, basketball, baseball, etc.,).
5. Fun gifts redeemable with tickets won at the arcade.
6. Lounge for adults with tv, couches, and reading material.
7. Separate eating area upstairs with kitchen.
8. Great staff -- helpful, polite, attentive.
