Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in San Mateo

If you are ordering from a hotel here is a heads up. I ordered for delivery and tried to use a coupon. They told me it did not exist at first. Every time they tried to give an excuse ex. " it's not for delivery " it's printed on the coupon. Never honored the coupon only gave me $4 off delivery. I was hungry and thought ok fine. I gave all the information to my hotel and room number. I recived a photo text and assumed they left it at my door. No. They left it in the lobby unsupervised on a random table. I messaged back if they did not allow them to my room? I was told they didn't know my room number and gave me an Incensieur apology. I look at the recipt in LARGE print is my room number. I was met with several excuses as to why they couldn't ask or check if there was a room number. not to mention The box stickers to prove the pizza was not touch as it was unsupervised where not stuck on both ends making it harder to beleave if anyone opened my order before I could go down to grab it. Worst experience I've ever had. Will not be ordering from this...

Israel the manager, screwed up my online order this past Saturday evening(7/6/24). Even though I was getting an email & text saying my order was ready, when I walked in the restaurant, the kitchen staff nor the cashier was even aware the order was placed because Israel pushed the “Order Ready” button on the tablet behind the counter. Honest mistake, I get it. However, not once did he apologize for his error. He had a nonchalant, business as usual attitude. Like it was no big deal that 20 minutes of my time was wasted due to his mistake. As I was waiting @the restaurant for another 20 minutes for my pizza to be prepared, I told him this was my 1st time ordering at this location and it could possibly be my last not only because of the online error but more importantly due to his unapologetic attitude. Ive eaten at Round Table a lot in a different state, so wanted to see how this one compared. The garlic parmesan twists were fantastic! They were made differently than what I'm used to back home, but way better. Lunch special $10.99 small is a good deal for RT. Pizza (chicken garlic veggie) was as good and generously topped as expected, but the crust was rather thick and slightly underdone in the middle. Service was friendly and food came out in about 15 minutes as quoted.
