Kiwanis Children's Park — Attraction in Sanford

AMAZING SUPER COOL PLAYGROUND!!! Looks to be BRAND NEW! I’m guessing it’s less than a year old, maybe even less than six months old. Funny how it’s about just a mile away from Kiwanis Family Park with the cool splashpad. Two really great playgrounds right near each other! This playground is THREE-STORIES HIGH, totally fenced in and safe. It has FIVE SLIDES attached to it, two on the first floor, one on the second floor, and two monster tube slides up top on the third floor! AWESOME! It has four different creative ways to climb up to the second level. It has swings of course, a merry-go-round, and tennis courts. A small bathroom building. My four-year-old LOVED it here! Really cool that this community in Sanford was able to build a playground THIS nice, and of this caliber. Also, it has a great color scheme. 😁👍 We made a stop here on the way home from the NC Zoo. I went to this park hoping to find a place to practice pickleball, as there are no other outdoor pickleball courts in the greater Sanford area to my knowledge. It is a fairly small park with playground, picnic tables and shelter, and four tennis courts. The tennis courts are in pretty rough condition and deeply in need of resurfacing, but they are serviceable. One of the tennis courts has wobbly yellow pickleball lines crudely spray-painted on; obviously not the most professional looking thing but I was grateful the lines were there so I could practice some serves. So thankful to have such a great local park! It’s beautifully maintained and the City continues to make updates, recently adding a play area for small children and installing a new covered picnic area. Would love to see the water fountain functional and little library repaired but I think they're doing a great job keeping up...
