Another restaurant not knowing how to handle a Service Dog being in the establishment. We should have just not even paid for the drinks that we didn't even drink but we did. I couldn't reach the ADA today to reiterate exactly what I told them was true. Because Tia monitors my heart and I wear her, she doesn't have to be on the floor. She was in her pouch, not on their furniture or touching the table. We were seated for 10 minutes and they took our drink order and brought them out before anyone said anything. We had actually sat there before they deciding if we were staying because we missed breakfast time. So why wait so long to ask? I will only return to the Dairy Bar to have the ADA explain to them the rules. And the management speaking to me with a condescending tone was unnecessary, I had my granddaughter with me and she was not impressed with the way we were treated. People can be so disrespectful and I admit that by the time it was over she and the staff saying "oh no it's a dog" over and over again had brought out my defensive side. Just because you have a sticker doesn't make it so, and every situation is not the same. Every establishment can request training from the ADA so that their employees are equipped to handle situations. And they are able to identify real Service Dogs from not real Service Dogs. Believe me it makes it better for those of us who have a real Service Dog! To the owner: this is from the ADA website. So you don't have all the information or your choosing to pick what you want. It's plan as day on the website and the customers who messaged me from my Facebook post and gave me their information to give to the ADA as witnesses because of the way your staff acted today weren't happy either. I am reporting this on Monday to Van Dowdy as well as the ADA and the Governors office on Disability. I didn't order for her, she wasn't on the seat otmr table. She wasn't eating or drinking from anything. She was in the pouch that I wear her in. She is a Medical alert Dog. Not an emotional support Dog. Not a dog that opens doors. And I explained this to your employee. Your staff needs training and it appears that you might benefit from some as well. It might help you in the future from fines...
Read moreFirst off, the atmosphere is very fun and vibrant, a very family oriented, but also hip restaurant! The service is great as well! I gave a 3 star because they take pride in cleanliness, atmosphere, and service. The food, however, wasn't completely good... we all know what instant food tastes like. The Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes tasted instant. I'd hate to say, but Cracker Barrel has a very similar style but is better. The turkey was shredded weirdly, and because of that, it became cold and dry. The biscuits are store brought Hawaiian roles, and the broccoli side was very weird... I like the idea, but the aftertaste, not to mention the different temperatures of ingredients, it made me sickly. Hot broccoli with cold mayonnaise. The gravey tasted instant and was cold. The sweet potatoe I know it was prepared in-resturant it was very good, I prepare mine the same and it's very easy and takes little time. The fried pork didn't have a very distinct pork taste, but it was good. Cracker barrel has the same thing, but with turkey and chicken, the coating from both places actually tastes the same. The food is cheap and it's definitely a place to take the children or grandchildren! Again, because of the atmosphere, it's just a super fun place with...
Read moreSeriously?! Another one?! What is is with Sanford businesses that have a striving, popular hot-spot with many people lining up left and right and so is the parking area, but they're in the smallest building imaginable? I can imagine a place like this makes thousands a day. So they can afford a larger establishment. Even buy out the empty building next to them! Maybe add a playroom for kids or add couches, tv for a lounge area.. Some days you have to wait to be seated and when there is a table available, you're all cramped, and everyone looks at each other. It's like trying to fit a can of sardines together! Speaking of that... No one showers, so it smells awful! Kids are loud everywhere. Like I said earlier, adding a playroom next door would help while the parents and more importantly everyone else can enjoy their experience. Like I told Scoops; I understand a business has to start small, but when it picks up? Yes, it's time to expand and I firmly believe if they love that location, then they can just buy out the space next door. This place is okay, the waiter we had was a bit rude, but I hate being squished in. It seems that the...
