The Appliance & Mattress Depot — Attraction in Santa Ana

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE. THEY HAVE COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF A SENIOR. My mother, who is also a senior, purchased a washing machine from The Appliance Depot. Within two weeks, the appliance had an issue. She called The Appliance Depot, as the machine was under warranty, and asked that she return the machine. Instead of allowing her to return the machine, they said they would send someone out to service the machine. Being an elderly woman who did not want to cause a problem, she agreed to the machine being serviced rather than returning it altogether. When the machine was serviced, she voiced her concerns about the machine breaking again and said that she would rather just return the machine altogether. The serviceman stated that he wasn't going to return the machine and guaranteed her that the machine would not break again and that he fixed it permanently. The machine broke again 3.5 months after service and she has only had the machine for approximately 5 months. The machine leaks water, cannot hold a full load of clothes, and plastic parts inside the machine are already broken. I believe that The Appliance Depot has severely taken advantage of an elderly lady. They would not allow her to return the machine, despite the warranty allowing her to do so. Instead, they manipulated her and verbally promised her that the machine would no longer break so that she would not be allowed to return it in future due to 'being outside...

This place is shady and has horrible customer service. I purchased a supposed (Brand new) refrigerator from them. The unit was delivered and there was packaging 1/4" thick foam tape 3" wide by 16" long on all for corners of the unit. The tape would not come off. The delivery drivers tried to help for a few minutes but said they have to leave because they have other deliveries to do. I had to purchase construction grade solvent to remove it and it took well over an hour to remove and was a complete mess. After removing this I discovered two huge creases/dents where the thick packaging tape was hiding it. I called and sent a video to them and they basically told me tough luck and they can't do anything about it. I looked up the price of this unit and it was the same price I paid at home depot. The difference between this place and home depot is that home depot would have given me a dent free unit, and if it was dented they would have given me options to resolve the issue. This place scams there customers so be ware before you purchase from here. They tell you one thing before you buy it and afterwards they will deliver it damaged and tell you they can't help you. I have owed a buisness for over 10 years and I know the main thing to keep your customers coming back is to be honest, have good customer service, and take care of them when something like this occurs. THIS PLACE IS FRAUDULENT. THEIR APPLIANCES DO NOT WORK!!!! If I could give Alan and the Appliance Center a ZERO I would! We bought a fridge from him online after he sent (what turned out to be deceiving) pictures of it's condition outside and in. They told us to wait 12 hours to plug it in because it needed to "settle" but now we realize it's because he must have suspected it didn't work right. BUT when contacted repeatedly he did say that he would replace it - he brought a second one (he refused to just give us our money back!!) and alas that one would turn on but didn't get any cold to the freezer and would only get the fridge to maybe 50 degrees. We asked him to come get it and he refused. We hired and PAID for a repair person who worked on it for 3 hours trying to get it working and could only conclude it's a broken valve that would be $1k+ to replace!! Still, Alan will not respond to us about giving back our money. He gave a warranty on the fridge's cooling system but is refusing to honor it. This guy and his products cannot be trusted!! Oh and he committed to delivery at 5pm for both fridges and then his guys didn't show up until 10 and 11pm!!!! Our neighbors called the cops on us the second time because they were so loud. Terrible terrible terrible! Now we're just out the $800 and are having to get a fridge from Sears. You should be ashamed of...
