This is one of my favorite Home Depot stores. The employees are friendly, and although they don't seem to ever be in much of a hurry, they make up for it with their honesty. There's nothing worse than being given incorrect directions to the item you're seeking, right? I've had workers tell me that they honestly: "Don't know". HA! That was refreshing. Overall, this store has someone on the ball with ordering stock. They almost always have the item I need. But: the other day when I was there, I asked about the Milwaukee Cordless Scroll Saw,, or what we all call a Jigsaw. The tool guy told me it was strictly online only, that I would have to order it. I walked to the next aisle and found three of them in the cage, and one on display. But this isn't my horror story...that is coming. I cannot talk badly enough about the Riverside Home Depot, the one on Madison Avenue; Okay, I started out at Ace Hardware on Van Buren at Wood Road, looking for two gallons of Fiberglas Resin and some throwaway brushes. They only had quarts, and their price was a whopping 27.95. I told them thanks, but no thanks. Went to the Madison HD and was surprised to find them out of stock on the Resin. I asked if there might be another store locally that had it in stock and was told by a beautiful woman that the Pidgeon Pass Road store in Mo Valley had five. I drove all the way over there, eighteen minutes more onto my trip. When I got there, I found no resin available at all. of any kind! So I'm fuming, talking doodoo about HD and generally going ballistic, and someone said they'd find some locally. Deja Vu, right? NFW am I falling for that again, but the girl told me she would have them do a visual confirmation...add another forty five minutes to the trip, I'm at Perris Rd. Moreno Valley HD with two gallons of resin. Would you bet on them having any fiberglas? Mat, or cloth? None availble! So I did an entire round trip, and ended up back at the Ace Hardware, where I bought some overpriced Cloth fiberglass, and ended up back at the jobsite only 3.5 hours later than my five minute trip should have taken. I must have looked a buffoon. Anyway, THANKS HOME DEPOT. THE RIVERSIDE EMPLOYEES AND STOCK ORDERING...
Read moreWent into this home depot on black Friday. WOW. Busy as can be. I really would be happy if I walked out with only 2 things. Universal mitre saw stand on sell today, and a fire pit on sell. But then I met Henry the store manager. MAN this guy is a rock star. in under 40 minutes he had everything I wanted together. Google Home, Mitre saw stand, fire pit, Crecent wrench set. A new mitre saw for a great deal. 2*4's and much more. He then asked the staff to help me load everything. Incredible customer service. and Amazing Staff. 5 stars. Time is money. And henry saved me a huge amount of Time and money. I have continued to make this my goto Home Depot even though it is an additional 10 minutes away further from my home. Mario is in charge of Hardware and he is another Rock Star. This guy is always on top of anything I need. But it does not stop at hardware with Mario he will help out in all departments. As for all the staff I have found that everyone is great there. Melissa up front at customer service is amazing, Diana another rock star. Matti I think it is, is always helpful. I switched from Tustin and Irvine Home depots to this one. Just because the Staff is incredible. I could go on and on. On one other note for HOME DEPOT CORPORATE. The only thing I wish that could make my shopping at home depot better, would be if they could lump all my purchases every month to the interest free purchases on the credit card if I go over $300. I would spend way more. But as it is I only will spend what I can pay off every month with out interest. They would have me spending...
Read moreI recently visited Home Depot to return some paint, and the customer service experience was disappointing.
Rude Staff Member: An older employee with glasses, whose name I don't recall, was extremely rude. He repeatedly cut us off, saying "no, no, no, no" while we tried to explain our situation. His constant interruptions made the process very frustrating.
Management Interaction: Maura, the manager, was somewhat better but not great. She initially brought up irrelevant topics and refused our return. However, her attitude changed when she learned we were affiliated with a customer who had spent a significant amount of money at their store in the past. To her credit, she eventually accepted the return, recognizing that some situations require a different approach.
Overall Experience: I'm disappointed with the customer service at this Home Depot location and will not be returning. However, if you need assistance, it might be worth trying to communicate with Maura directly. With enough effort, she may understand and address your situation.
Conclusion: While Home Depot generally has a good reputation, my experience at this location was subpar. For those considering shopping here, be prepared for potential challenges in customer service and try to speak directly with a manager like Maura if...
