I am currently attending this school and am sorry to the cool people in the school whom this may effect, but this is a terrible waste of your money. The first teacher speaks VERY POOR English, every month new students come in, and you spend most of the time doing the same things over and over again. I am half way through the school and was told That I would recieve my fafsa grant inthe middle of my schooling. Well in this time I recieved a 60 day notice from my apartment that me and my family of 5 would have vacate the property. I was told that I would recieve my money within a months time so i took out a loan so me and my family could move. Well now one month and a half later i have not recieved my fafsa and they completely changed the story and informed me that now I will not recieve my grant until 1month before graduation. SO because I was misinformed by this school I have to pay $600.00 out of my pocket every month until I recieve my money from them. When trying to rectify this they told me that it was out if their hands and that they would not do anything to help me with the matter. So now I may possibly be unable to proceed with my schooling do to the fact that I need to earn extra money to cover the interest caused by the incorrect information that was givin to me. And if i am unable to complete this program they will not award me my grant. SO BY MISLEADING ME THEY HAVE BEEN PAID $8500.00 AND I AM IN DEBT $3100.00 (and this willgo up$300.00 every 2 weeks that I don't getmy grant!!!)AND I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THEY HAVE CHARGED. Also they take back the books and almost all of the TOOLS THEY GIVE YOU INTHE BEGINNING!!! RUN AWAY!!!!! Don't make the same...
Read moreNatalie Torres, the supposed Manager of the school, is a professional Con Artist simply put. You will be severely disappointed with all the staff that works here. In the back office they literally fight over how many kids each of their staff gets enrolled into the school. The only real structure that you see in this school is in their main Office and that's all. All the students in the classrooms are clueless and the "teachers" seem even more clueless than the new learning students. If you thought that maybe the instructors at this school actually instruct...you're wrong. The "teachers" love to browse through their YouTube recommended page on there giant flatscreen TV's that had been purchased, just to play random videos about a subject that we are learning. When in reality these videos have no impact on what we are trying to learn and have no correlation with the abundance of work given out through there terrible new Online system called CANVAS and Cengage. I would continue this review about my time and experience here, but the point is DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THESE DISSAPOINTMENTS TO SOCIETY, THEY ARE CON ARTISTS TO TAKE YOUR CASH/GRANTS AND THEN ASK FOR MORE AND MORE. SUMMIT COLLEGE IS A JOKE. NATALIE TORRES IS A JOKE. THE...
Read moreIf youâre trying to get into welding stay away from this school, other students and I had a terrible experience here, No teacher or ANY Tig machines for 8 weeks during my last process. They told us theyâd be able to certify us on site by the time our 9 month course was finished but that never happened. Poorly maintained machines and absolutely no structure to our day to day exercise wise whatsoever. Their post graduation isnât great youâre not allowed practice, and the jobs they send you most of the time are jobs that require certifications or just processes they donât even teach you. Not worth 18k I would look into apprenticeship with the union if youâre serious about learning about welding. This school is a joke and once you pay them they forget about you and focus on the next person theyâre trying to sell enrollment to. The tools they give you are cheap ( all of which I had to replace before I even finished i.e. 9months) they donât provide respirators or a tape measurer in their little bundle they give you so if you choose to go here Iâd suggest...
