Green Healthy Massage: An Absolute Nightmare

I recently visited Green Healthy Massage with the hopes of a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Sadly, it turned out to be the absolute worst attempt at relaxation and well-being I've ever endured.

Upon making an appointment with Alice over the phone, I was escorted to the first room upon my arrival. While the massage starting 5-8 minutes late seemed like a minor inconvenience, it became an ominous sign of what was to come. The same lady who had been attending to the front desk was my masseuse, and the lack of professionalism soon became apparent.

A mere 10 minutes into the massage, the phone rang, and she answered it while continuing to massage me. It was incredibly unprofessional, and that was just the beginning. She was interrupted again to attend to a guest who walked in, and then by yet another phone call, followed by two more. The interruptions continued with casual chit-chat with her fellow colleague.

The entire experience was an absolute nightmare. Towards the end, I asked her to stop, but she seemed utterly clueless and continued regardless.

My frustration reached its peak upon leaving when she had the audacity to ask, "What, no tip?" Her complete lack of awareness was astounding.

Please be aware that though they advertise a rate of $60/hr, there is an upcharge of an additional $10.00 for a deep tissue massage. This is something they should make clear, but I was not informed until I arrived.

In a place with so many better and kinder options, I cannot emphasize enough how subpar this establishment is.

You have been warned. Avoid Green Healthy Massage...

One visit thus far, after darkening the doorways of countless others around the south bay area, and I must say by far The Best! Where do I begin is the real question! Up until arriving here there were so many disappointments, from prepaying for horrible services, being harassed by staff because evidently I "inadequately tipped", terribly uncomfortable tables, multiple interruptions, and unsanitary overall premise! Such a pleasant surprise to say the least, from the greeting staff as you enter, certified massage therapists, very very clean interior (yes even the restrooms), comfortable tables, pleasant soft relaxing music, aroma therapy devices, and finally, paying upon completion for requested services with no hassle about tip amount (which btw I gladly came out of pocket $20 in gratuity for (1) hour massage)...Looking forward to our appointments tomorrow!...

Around 2-3 years ago, this place was run by a much nicer gentleman who didn't push customers aggressively for tips. He was courteous, and the masseuses also had a very pleasant mindset. In many ways, this made you want to tip more - simply because of the kindness and manners.

But now, it's all changed. It's run by a quite aggressive woman who pushes "deep tissue massage" which...I learned only after reading the tiny black print on the menu is $10 extra. She also pushes extremely hard for tip money - which is COMPLETELY optional and NEVER mandatory.

Now the establishment has a conniving aura of heavy manipulation. The massages feel good, but knowing after you're facing this haggler of a front desk lady completely destroys the peace and restoration you longed for so badly.

I'm sorry this place had to turn into this. I...would go somewhere...
