I have been a 49ers fan since I was a child. I cherished the wins with Montana, Young, Garcia, and Kaepernick, while enduring the losses with Rattay, Dorsey, Smith, and Hill. So, my dad, uncle, and I were excited to tour the museum. The introductory film provides a nice history of the team's ups and downs. I like that the memorabilia incorporates 49ers players with American history and society. I also appreciated the variety of pieces in the museum, which span beyond just footballs and jerseys. There is an interactive section, which is especially engaging for children. However, the film fails to highlight Kaepernick. Although the film notes our appearance in Super Bowl XLVII reinvigorated the franchise, it does not even mention Kaepernick's name, the breakout star of the season. The film also avoids any close-up shots of Kaepernick. The museum, additionally, only includes one photo of Kaepernick. The franchise's success during Kaepernick's tenure in San Francisco is what led to the existence of Levi Stadium and the 49ers Museum. The San Francisco Bay Area prides itself on diversity and inclusivity, the principles Kaepernick protested for. Therefore, to relegate Kaepernick to background shots in the film and to only one photo in the museum, is just wrong.

I took my father here for Father's Day. He has been a 49er fan since 1980 and you can guess who I'm named after. This was my father's first time seeing a game at their home stadium since we are from Ontario. We went to the museum the day before and it was even better than we could've imagined. He was a kid in a candy store.

If you are planning a trip to Santa Clara, make sure that this museum is on your list. Tickets are about $50 and they have kind of weird hours so make sure to check hours before making the drive. All of the footballs on the ceiling represent Jerry Rice’s touchdowns, which is super cool

I checked their website and it said that they were open on the Monday following one of their home games. The website said that they were open at 9:00 am. I went and it was closed. I called and they said it is only open on the days of events. Not sure if I want to go during the busyness of a game day. Visited the Packers museum and team store this summer. It was open and it was a good time even though I am a 49er fan. Very...

Besides being a big time 49ers fan, my wife and I had an amazing time here. From knowing more of the history of the franchise to the fun activities we participated in and our tour guide showing us around was a cool guy. First time here at the 49ers Museum and it was a cool experience. Any 49er Faithful would enjoy their time...
