The Hot Tub WhereHouse — Attraction in Santa Clara

I have never owned a pool or spa so when I decided to get a Hot Tub I was LOST. I visited the Spa Store in Cupertino on De Anza  but the sales person was very arrogant and full of himself. I felt like I was being talked down to. At the next two places I looked all I got was HIgh Pressure sales tactics, no helpful information and just a pushy transaction that turned me off. Then one day when traveling Highway 101 and saw a sign for the Hot Tub Wherehouse right on the frontage road in Santa Clara. I exited the freeway and easily found the store. I was greeted by two large, friendly playful dogs and a helpful sales person that introduced himself as "Chet". The sales person invited me to look around and to ask questions as they came up. This was a very nice change from my last hot tub shipping experiences.

I ended up learning a ton that day about what I really needed and what was and was NOT important. Chet to over an hour showing me the different spas he had on the showroom floor. He had more spas to choose from than any other spa store I had visited. The day I visited there were over 25 spas of all shapes, sizes and price levels from $2995 and up What a great selection. Chet then took me out into the warehouse and showed me his 3 SWIM SPA display models. Unbelievable care and empathy was taken of me.

Chet patiently asked about my family, my back yard and we even looked at the property together on one of the many Ipad screens he has set up to show products and answer questions. Very helpful, very non-threatening - even 'enjoyable "if shopping can be fun, this was fun! I felt relaxed, not rushed and was EDUCATED not sold anything. When I had all of the information I needed I made the decision in my own time and with Chet's help I got a GREAT HOT TUB! The Martinique Caldera is a perfect fit for our needs! Thanks Chet

When I left the store that day - Chet made sure I had all of my questions answered. I knew about upcoming factory sales event, and he would send a electrician and concrete person out to give me free quotes  and coordinated the entire process. This is truly a "one stop , spa shop" . I ended up taking advantage of a great sales price without pressure and I was able to WET TEST the spa I eventually put in my back yard. The selection and knowledge in this place is AWESOME

I cannot recommend Chet and The nice folks I met from the delivery staff and all contacts with The Hot Tub Wherehouse enough and have been a 5 star service....

UPDATE: Chet continues with amazing service and even called me to remind me I was due for my first filter cleaning and walked me through all the steps so I wouldn't even have to dig out the cheatsheet he made me.

Original Review: Simply put 5+ stars. Chet's knowledge of hot tubs and installation is superior and he puts customers first.

I went into Hot Tub Wherehouse not knowing the first thing about hot tubs. Chet was already working with another customer, took any downtime from his buying customer to answer all my newbie questions with the utmost patience and professionalism. He instantly recognized my construction and safety related questions, provided alternate suggestions, and walked me through details I needed to install and he even offered to talk directly to my contractor.

He called to schedule a delivery, confirmed delivery the day of, and then followed up to ensure everything went EXACTLY as discussed. He initiated all of the conversations and never once did I feel I didn't know what was happening with the shipment and delivery.

When my electrician screwed up the install, Chet worked quickly to resolve the problem with the manufacturer and in the cheapest manner possible. He personally tended to the issue the day after the part arrived.

I conducted a lot of research when choosing the right place to purchase a hot tub. In fact, I even interviewed the four top rated hot tub distributors/retailers in the South Bay area. My findings were that three of four had previously worked for and were trained by Chet, the owner of Hot Tub Warehouse, and of course the fourth interview was Chet at the Hot Tub Warehouse. Chet has been in this industry since the 1970's so he really knows his stuff. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They are simply 'down to earth, nice people'. They were not pushy at all and didn't try to sell me a particular hot tub that wasn't perfect for me or just 'on sale'. Whenever I called them with any questions about my new hot tub they were eager to help me. Their service is second to none. Periodically, I would and still do call Chet just to thank him for my purchase. This hot tub has literally changed my life. I sleep better, it soothes my muscles and joints, I know longer need skin lotion and of course it is the most relaxing thing I could do for myself after work or play. It has been over two years now and I still use that hot tub at least 5 days or more out of every week and have never had ANY issues with it. ! I couldn't imagine my life without it.
