This ride is very intense! For an arrow looper, this ride is absolutely massive. It is actually crazy to me that this ride is taller than X2 right next to it! The ride experience was pretty wild too. That first drop in the back row might be the best part. You get yanked down that drop and it's a cool sensation. The three vertical loops are very intense! Brace yourself for the two back to back ones because you could slam you head back on the headrest. The transitions on this ride are just not good, you will want to watch out for those because you could bang your head pretty bad. After the mid course, the batwing and the two corkscrews are filled with hangtime, and it is a weird transition going from the super intense first half to a slow second half that has odd hangtime, but I do like it. I do like this ride, but I feel like it is too rough to be an enjoyable ride. If you like arrow loopers, check this one out for sure because it is very intense and is...
Read moreELITE roller coaster! This ride is a little rough. But who cares?! Well clearly a lot of people do. But I don't! I rode Viper for the first time on November 25th and it was great! I sat in the front row. Well I sat on row 2. But that is the front car. And it was SO intense! Those 3 vertical loops feel like they shouldn't exist (in a good way)! They are demonically forceful! They were great in the front. But I imagine sitting towards the back would literally make you gray out! Very intense! The second half of the ride is fun too! It is slower than the first half, but it is still incredible! It still puts you upside down and stuff. The 2 back to back corkscrews are also insane. Because you roll through them at a slower pace, so you get WICKED hang time! Such a great coaster! The only con is that the paint is fading very badly. But that doesn't matter! I still love this ride! 90's coasters are just something else! Six Flags, please...
Read moreOfficially the last standing Arrow custom looper in the world. All the others either reached the end of their service life or succumbed to the times. Cherrish it while it's still here. A true classic, and we don't truly know how much more time it has at our beloved Magic Mountain. I've been riding Viper for about 30yrs now and it's absolutely great. Def one of the better Arrow custom loopers that was put out. Would love to see them breathe new life into the coaster; a paint job, maybe a good re-tracking by Vekoma or S&S Sansei, and maybe even update the trains. Just to hopefully keep it going another 30+ years strong.
I've never had an issue with "headbanging". Keep your head firm on the headrest and you won't have that problem.
Also, for a real treat, ride this coaster in the very back row. I promise you, it's a whole different ride and way...
