Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is such a fun spot! The rides are a mix of classics and new favorites, and you can’t beat the ocean views right next to the park. The Giant Dipper and the carousel are must-rides, and there’s plenty of food, games, and entertainment to keep you busy.

It does get crowded on weekends, but the atmosphere is lively and worth it. The only thing I wish is that they stayed open later, rides closing around 7pm feels a little early, especially on weekends when the boardwalk is still full of people.

It happened at the cubby storage for the rides — you might think it’s safe, but it’s really not. When the park is crowded with a bunch of kids, be very careful with your belongings. Theft happened to me here — a teen, probably middle or high school age, stole my hat— and honestly, if something gets taken, it feels like they don’t really care. Regardless of whether your item is expensive or cheap, these kids will steal it. As for parking, it’s not impossible, but on weekends or busy times it gets crowded and can be difficult to find a spot unless...
