Beach Market — Local services in Santa Cruz

I have been a resident of Santa Cruz for years. I moved out of the area about two years ago. I am 30 years old and have frequented this liquor store since I was young, buying candy here. My girlfriend and I wanted to pick up a few beers before hitting up the Boardwalk. Tip: pick up some tall can corona or modelo's because they sell the same ones for almost twice the price at the boardwalk. On 6/7/2021 at around 12 pm we both walked into the liquor store with Masks on however they were not fully covering our nose. We did not intentionally do this however the woman ran to us and exclaimed "If you're going to be in the store you need to put the mask over your nose no exception". We raised our Mask with no problem because we are not rule Breakers and respect covid guidelines. However This Woman's tone, customer service and demeanor we're absolutely unacceptable. I am guessing the same Asian woman who has hassled others leaving reviews was the same employer we were dealing with as well and we had a similar experience dealing with her. I just want to add that this liquor store must be under new ownership because the previous owners were always very kind to us and of either middle eastern or Mexican decent. This laundry facility is attached to a mini mart. It does not have a quarter machine, but the clerk at the store will help you out with a minimum purchase from the store side. Washing machines were $3.75, $4.00, or $7.00. The dryers were $0.25 for 6 minutes. "Liquid soap only" labeled on washers, not very many machines, and quite a few were out of service. Luckily, on a Tuesday around lunch, it was deserted. The place was pretty clean, for a laundromat. My clothes are now pretty clean too. I'd use it again if the machines were available. Third time coming here because my hotel is close. First time they were closed at 2:30 on a weekday. Second time got in however the store is weak and the clerk has major attitude. This time they stated they're open until 7:00 pm. Got there at 5:50 and they are closed. Avoid this place if you can and drive a little further down the road to find a store that gives a darn about the hours they post and are courteous to they're customers.
