Yesterday 06/22/2023 I had a little mishap with my phone. That initially caused my back camera's glass become shattered as well loseing Glass pieces. I was able to get an appointment here today (06/23/2023) Right as they opened with no issue Apon going on their website. Their website is fairly easy to schedule appointment on at merely ask for your device your model and what made the problem be if and if you don't know you just click on other and you explain the issue. Upon walking in. I was created with a warm welcome. I was asked The name of the appointment she read the notes and confirmed what was the issue. Originally I thought it was only my glass camera. But upon taking off my otter case My entire backing of my phone was completely shattered and pieces of glass was coming out and off. Luckily There was no internal damage at all. I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5g. For those who don't know. Unfortunately Samsung has canceled the line of notes. Which has made it difficult to get repairs off my new phone model. My front of my phone curves in-wards while the back of my phone curves into my front so it's not an easy task to pop the glass and fix such. She asked to give her 30 minutes to fix such. Keep in mind My phone remained completely locked, I did not need to give my passcode or anything. I was asked if I needed to make any last minute text messages as my phone will be in their hands.
My total price including tax was only $113, which It just not a bad price at all. When it comes to the consideration, that my glass is curved, my camera glass needed to be fixed so nearly an full replacement for the back of my phone. Also keep in mind this place is a certified Samsung repair center as well with a few different brands. What does this mean? This means that the parts they use to replace what is broken or in my case completely shattered is the actual parts of what is being replaced rather than 3rd party glass ect It comes from the actual manufacturer. Taking all this into consideration and knowledge this is a very reasonable price.
Side note contacting Samsung support , to try to go through them to get a repair They advised me to not repair my phone to simply just come into My providers store and get a new one for a higher price or do a trade-in and pay the extra additional money , as I was told "due to your phone make and model being discontinued, We advise you to rather trade in your phone" hence they didn't even try to help me out*
30 minutes later I went back in to pick up my phone. And it looked like brand new. My camera works fine everything was in order. There was no security breach or anything of such. It was a very easy process I'm extremely satisfied.
This place has very quick and easy customer service. They are friendly, They answer all questions with ease and will go into detail if you ask. I liked how they double check that they have the parts before taking my phone physically with them. It definitely saved time rather than to drop off a device and come back later to find it couldn't be fixed because they just didn't have the part. I think what made my experience special here was that I was asked if I needed to send a last minute text message. As our phones are our ways of communication. And it is nice to let someone know that your phone may not be with you at the second. Rather than to worry someone. Surrounding the shop place there's a couple places to eat including a Boba shop and a bike shop, all within walking distance. If you don't want to walk around you can always sit inside and wait...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would rather buy a refurbished phone than EVER go here again. I went in on a Friday with a partially cracked screen. I could still use my phone, but was ready for a fix. They assured my it could be done by closing time, maybe an hour or two tops. I decided to wait for the phone. And wait and wait and wait. Getting close to closing time. Getting really close to closing time. They say the phone is done BUT they need it to pass some sort of test, done by computer, but there is a problem. They have to call corporate to get permission to release my phone, but nobody at corporate is responding. We wait and wait. Long story short, corporate went home on Eastern time zone or something, here on the west they have no way to get ahold of anyone. Now my phone works FINE, but they can't give it to me. I said I need it for the weekend. I have renters who need to get ahold of me, it's the end of the month. I also have clients that rely on me. I NEED my phone. They say they can't trust me to come back next week to finish the testing, so they just can't let it go. They won't budge, they say tomorrow they will call and update me. So Saturday morning, I wait a few hours, then call them, even though they said they would call me. Still no solution, couldn't explain why nobody called me even though they said they would. Several more calls to them on Saturday, eventually they close at half day, and still WILL NOT RELEASE MY PHONE. After work on MONDAY I go in, at this point they have had my phone for 72 hours or so, and been open about 10-12 of them. They still WON'T GIVE ME MY PHONE, even though it WORKS FINE, THEY SAY. I have to threaten to involve the police, and then they finally release my phone, but only after I sign something that says it HAS NO WARRANTY of any kind, and they still charge me FULL PRICE, of course. As I stand at the counter and make my case to the manager of the store, he and the other employee simply WALK AWAY AS I AM TALKING, leaving me alone in the store front. Without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. They just didn't really care, a bunch of rude people who think they are cool because the fix cell phones or something, I guess. Do yourself a favor, just go on Amazon, buy a refurbed phone, you'll get it fast and won't risk dealing with these jerks. EDIT: I called the main customer line like they asked in the comment on my review. They did nothing, of course. Just wasted more of my time to say they were sorry...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had repairs on my LG Fortune done at this location in March and it's been the umpteenth repair. It's had 6-7 total screen replacements. This time, I remember giving them the phone on March 1st. I got it back over two weeks later. I just wanted the screen replaced. When it was done, they said the screen was done but said the rear facing camera was not working. I was aware the rear facing camera lens was cracked and majority of it no longer existed, but was not worried about it. In addition I couldn't plug earbuds into the headphone jack. It wouldn't stay in. That frustrated me but I got 2 other mobile devices for YouTube. Whatever they did, fixed that too. I retrieved the phone on March 17, made possible by the stimulus impact payment.
Earbuds stay in now on the device, which makes it makes nicer to have 3 separate mobile devices to listen to YouTube videos.
Now as of 09/07/22, I am liking this business less and less. I took 4 of my devices in for screen replacement. The tech that led me it wouldn't be worth replacing the screens because the cost would be the same as getting that phone new.... Well three of those phones has my information, data or pictures that the new copies of those models do not have. (One of them is LG Spree which is a very old out-dated LG Android) So it may not be worth it to the tech to fix, it IS WORTH IT TO ME TO HAVE THEM fixed. And I'm a customer..... I took my business elsewhere. So this business is slowly, ever so slowly losing my business. I'm basically a cash cow to them, bringing cracked screens. They could have easily gotten $480 to $520 from me. Their loss. Another business in Kearny Mesa won this 4 device job, took the devices in, pretty sure they can do 3 of them. One of the devices an LG Fortune 3, I really need because it is my primary device. So really how dare the tech turn me away.
I have a 2nd LG Fortune 3 that has a cracked screen. Whoever fixed those 4, for me would win the opportunity for 5th device, replacing screen another $120ish. When I get my primary device back, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Not to this business. Most definitely not. I want the owner to...
