South Lido Key Beach — Attraction in Sarasota

This is my favorite beach. Weekends tend to get a little crowded on the channel side, but the sea side is always less crowded and in my opinion much better. Quite honestly, on this beach, there is something for everyone. Regardless of whether you come on a boat, have a jet ski and run around, or you come alone or with a family to have a nice day at the beach, you've got it all.

If I want to pick up shells and there are always lots of them, I go to South Lido, or if I simply want to relax, I go to North Lido. South Lido offers free parking, and they have many slots available, which tends to be very convenient.

Nice secluded place for family's with kids. Nice sunsets 🌇 and lots of shells 🐚 the water is amazing and for all ages. Highly recommend. Just a little tip, better be there early in the morning if you want to get a parking spot otherwise, you'll be driving around for a long time. Better park somewhere else and get the trolley 🚎 it will be faster, free and you get to grab it again every 15 minutes. FAV Lowkey spot when I don’t want to deal with the craziness of Siesta. Have restrooms and a park. The beaches and water are beautiful. Tons of parking (usually) unless you go on a busier prime day.
