Slackers Hill — Attraction in Sausalito

This spot was well worth the hike up, it felt like an age to get there but I could not have been happier to get there. I'd seen the view from Battery Spencer in the film the internship overlooking the bridge and knew I wanted to propose to my girlfriend there. However when we got there for some reason I believed the scene was shot higher so I insisted we look for the right spot, so we hiked up a trail for what seemed an eternity but we finally arrived at Slackers Hill and it was much more than either of us could have wished for. I proposed to my now fiancée on the 5th August and it was the best moment of my life so far! We engraved on a rock to commemorate the occasion, I hope it's still there! One of the hidden gems in Sausalito. It is beautiful here, and the view is better than any other Vista Points along 101. The best time to come is on a day when there is no fog and watch the moon rise from behind the city skyline with Golden Gate Bridge in the foreground. It is breathtaking.
