Savanna Museum and Cultural Center — Attraction in Savanna

You can tell a lot of hard work and dedication went into creating the exhibits in this museum. The third floor Civil War gallery mannequins represent real people and real units that served, both for the North and the South. Interesting, unusual, and fun facts abound throughout the displays. There are prerecorded greetings and interactive opportunities. The model train room is incredible, and the detail amazing. The museum asks for $10 donations as an entrance fee. Building itself is in disrepair, but they are trying to bring it back. Nice set-up and layout of exhibits. Worth the trip. They change the exhibits around occasionally, so check their Facebook page...

The model railroad is fantastic! Even better than the one in Sabula Iowa ! The diesel doctor is a wealth of knowledge, great for the young people to know about Savanna history and definitely don't miss the civil war exibit the third floor! I'm going back many...
