Lake Mayer Park Administration Office — Attraction in Savannah

Signing on im back the most honest google guide you'll find. If you read it from Gree then look no further.This park is amazing. Best feature is fishing. No need for fishing permit your in luck. The pond is overstocked so park officials arent making a fuss about fishing with a permit😉. Great selection of fish including snapper and bass. I go with hubby to excercise and relax. Walking, biking, running and lots more. There is a outdoor skating ring as well as a skateboard park within the park. If you like remote control cars bring them out. There is even a trail specifically made for them. Overall this place is an awesome park with many highlights. Safe area, fire station nearby. If you are into mediation and yoga this is a go to. Water fountains and benches available. Playground for kids and amazing walking trail. Scenery is picturesque excercise will be a pleasure and not a task. I promise. Peace...

I visit this park very often - weekly to be exact. There is a walking/running trail that surrounds the park area, giving beautiful panoramic views of the water and park area while you exercise.

There are places designated along the walking/running path that prompt you to stretch, adding to your exercise experience.

There are also building spaces you can rent for special gatherings and celebrations. I personally have attended a family gathering there.

I often take my daughter (who skateboards) to enjoy the designated skating. It's a great place for her to connect and learn from other skaters.

Outside of day to day normal functions, this park hosts special events for the community as well.

There are many great things to do at this park. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, roller hockey arena, skateboard/inline skate park, boat rentals, a new soft asphalt running track around a beautiful lake, rv racing care track, pavilions with BBQ grills available, and much more. Private parties may be scheduled, indoors/outdoors for many events you may wish to entertain. The park maintenance and grounds keeper, (Orlando) does a great job of keeping the park clean, liter & trash free, as well as clean restroom areas, & any accommodations he can assist with, he is there for you.
