DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE. We were supposed to have our wedding here back in May. My (now) husband and I visited this place on a weekly basis for planning, and just spending time with each other. We picked the Savannah Botanical Garden in October 2024 and signed the contract. We agreed on having the ceremony in the Gazebo and the Toast (after the ceremony) around the circle (Rose garden). I, the day before wedding, May 24, 2025, We showed up at the Garden for our Rehearsal. They had completely dug up the irrigation system. Caution tape and mounds of dirt was now where there was flowers only a week before. We did not end up having our wedding here. After my honeymoon, I contacted the woman who was in charge of weddings, she was in Nashville and said she would call me back. I never heard a response. I called back, was informed that she was fired. I told them my issue and their response was that they had "Benchmarks" every month that they meet and they do work on their garden. They also mentioned that there was a wedding coming up this year in October (I hope they know about that). We were NOT INFORMED about these "Benchmarks". If I knew that, we would have never signed the contract. Nor does anywhere on the contract, states anything about Benchmarks and construction. In the end, I yelled at on the phone, by the head of their committee, and was told that I wasn't going to get my money back. And was hung up on. Zero remorse. This is a genuine message to anyone who is looking for their venue for their special day. The whole process is hard enough! Buyers Beware. Don't get yourself caught up with these shady people. There's a lot of other beautiful places! We ended up getting married at Bowtie BBQ and still had the best day of our lives. So, they can not take that happiness away. I thought over and over again about writing a post, I myself am in the wedding industry, so I know how harming it can be to the business. But in the end, it's about what is right and the morals of this establishment. Don't get taken advantage of like we did. And Good Luck in...
Read more"I recently visited Savannah, Georgia and had the pleasure of exploring the breathtaking botanical gardens there. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the incredible beauty and peacefulness of this natural oasis. The gardens are meticulously maintained and offer a stunning array of plant life that truly captivated my senses. The winding paths and serene ponds made for a truly immersive experience, and I found myself lost in the wonder of it all.
One of the things I loved most about the Savannah botanical gardens was the variety of exhibits and displays that were available. From the rose garden to the bamboo forest, each area offered a unique and immersive experience that left me feeling inspired and rejuvenated. The greenhouse was also a highlight for me, as it offered a glimpse into the incredible diversity of plant life that exists in this world.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Savannah botanical gardens enough. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or just looking for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is an absolute must-see. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful to have had the opportunity to experience such a...
Read moreThis is an absolutely gem of a garden/memorial & event site especially since it is free to the public and appears to be staffed & maintained by volunteers. The trails & walking areas were nicely laid out & into the beautiful wooded area. We visited in late morning on May 20 & the area was shady and very pleasant. The only reason I did not mark 5 stars was that not very many of all the well marked plants were flowering. I hope we can come back when they are and I will probably give it a "10." 🙂 Thanks to all of the Garden Clubs & Chapters and volunteers for all their work in making it available to the public. I highly recommend it! Oh and don't forget to leave a donation to help. It is very deserving...
