I drive by Pour Boy Coffee several times a week and love supporting local coffee shops, so I made it a point to stop in today. The atmosphere was not at all what I expected—it had a sultry, speakeasy bar vibe with deep red drapes and velvet barstools. Given the name, I had anticipated something more rustic and Southern, but the aesthetic was unique and interesting. It almost felt like a place that should serve cocktails rather than just coffee.
The barista was incredibly friendly, which added to the experience. The only reason for my 4/5 rating is that I expected some food options, but the display case was completely empty. The barista mentioned they hadn’t received their morning delivery yet—even though it was already 8:45 AM—which seemed a bit unusual. I understand that delays happen, but it reminded me that I should start bringing my own snacks just in case.

Thankfully, after about five minutes of existential reflection, the barista emerged from the back like a caffeine-bearing hero ready to rescue my lost soul.
