Today I was really craving a subway sub after getting over a migraine of 48 hours. The first meal I thought of...So I rushed out the house to Subway on Eisenhower, got there at 8:39p.m. I ran up to the well lit establishment, a young man was in the back mopping so I went to pull open the door and it was locked. Mind you, the sign OPEN was illuminated, so I knocked on the glass and he came to the door. He stood behind the glass as I asked "are you closed because it's only 8:40?" He nods his head and says "yes.. cause we're short staffed." Okay Eisenhower is a well lit and well ran business plaza so one woman couldn't be served and you're a man?? I mean this phrase is starting to become ridiculous just to close early. I am a war veteran and I take full pride in duty and there is a duty in customer service to fulfill when running a food establishment however customer service is lacking in most of these establishments upon hiring as they hire teens/young adults with this undesirable attitude to EARN THEIR PAYCHECK. I was really angry that I could not be served 20 minutes before closing when the open sign was still illuminated ( see attached pic) and I truly wanted this sandwich driving 20 minutes to get there to be turned around. This is unprofessional and I suggest Employers take more time to hire those who truly want a job to satisfy the services distributed by their hires the professional way. I won't be returning. I'm tired of spending monies with places as such, making those rich with poor hires who make decisions based off their...
Read moreThis location is a hot mess. I work close by so I am there weekly, but that's about to stop. They continuously make mistakes, but then send you home with the ruined sandwich, and are not very professional. Last time I had a woman use mustard instead of honey mustard, and when I pointed it out she grabbed a napkin off the counter and WIPED IT OFF. I was in disbelief... Not to mention it just smeared the mustard into the bread and ruined it. Today I went in and had my flat bread toasted (the kind I settled for, because they are always out of bread or produce) and she left it in there and moved on to the next customer without informing the other employee, so it came out like rubber, with burnt cheese on it. It's honestly one thing after another every time. I'll rather my business elsewhere...
Read moreUsually halfway decent. Depends on who is working. Tonight they had no onions black olives and a few other things. When I asked how often do you run out of onions they said we have onions but since morning shift didn't get any ready for us we dont have any. Last time I checked it doesn't take that long to cut an onion. I suppose they were out of black olives cause no one had time to open the jar. Evidently sometimes they have enough time to let the bread burn. When a footlong is 10 dollars instead of the 5 or 6 it used to be I expect to have every type of bread available perfectly cooked and fresh and every topping/ accompaniments to be available. Manager is a nice lady when she is there everything is good if not it...
